KOLO: Incorrect Caucus Location Information Provided by the Nevada State GOP Party

I agree. It could be a boon. Though the web site would tend to be us, we are also informed enough not to fall to that. Go back to your list of likely supporters and use this as an excuse to bolster their vote.

Okay, so which candidate was responsible for this monkey wrench?

I smell Romney.

which candidate was responsible for this monkey wrench

If not Romney, then perhaps one of his supporters. But while I agree that the main beneficiary is Romney, this is going to hurt every campaign that doesn't have a ground game in the state. So it's not all bad for Paul. If the misinformation were statewide rather than restricted to the Vegas area I'd even say that Paul benefited more than Romney.

Related question: how will we actually know who won in Nevada? The caucuses choose delegates to the county conventions, then from there delegates to the state convention get chosen. So I can imagine (unfortunately) Paul getting a plurality of delegates on the 19th and still potentially losing at the state convention as the others unify against him (as happened in Wyoming). I suppose, however, that winning in NV would actually be more important in terms of media and momentum for Super Tuesday than it would be for the delegates...

we should get volunteers at the wrong caucus location so tht caucus goers can be redirected

Not enough time. They have to be at the correct caucus location by a specific time. We have to make sure our supporters have the CORRECT location prior to Saturday.

The good news is that most of the other candidates have no organization in Nevada, so they are going to be hurt more by this than we are. Romney will benefit, because he has a strong organization.

Please read the COMMENTS section... I included one of them.

"Ron Paul's confirmed volunteers might get the right information in time, but not everyone that will vote for Paul is connected to everyone else. We got 50,000 votes in my state and we certainly didn't have a list that large. And second, I can absolutely GUARANTEE you that Romney's campaign had the right information in hand last week. Yes, at this point, I can guarantee you. Because one or two little things might be mistakes, but this is becoming a pattern. I wasn't much of a *conspiracy theorist* coming into this campaign, but man are my eyes really opening. They aren't even TRYING to hide it anymore. But of course, it will be reported as "oops, we made a simple mistake" just like all the others before. Yet, somehow, every single one of Romney's supporters will show up as if nothing was wrong."

WELL, I think because of the obvious shenningans they would allow some times allowances. No?

HQ needs to address this and make sure that extra time is allowed for the obvious state GOP screwups.
