He needs some assistance if anyone can help out with this:

One thing I don't know about is how to get the site up the important scale from a Google search. It would be great if one day, when someone googled Ben Ray Lujan it would come up in the first 5 spots or so.

It is fine for all of us Kokesh/Paul supports to visit the site but ultimately we want other NM district 3 voters going there to see what their congressman is up to. Otherwise we are just preaching to the choir.

We need to promote it on the interwebs. does anyone know how to optimize the search results on google and yahoo etc.?

The purpose of his site is to:

I will chose bills Luján introduces, sponsers, or votes on as well as any speeches and/or press releases to make commentary from an austrio-libertarian viewpoint.

Very nice writing on the 'Economics in One Lesson' post.

Don't know if it'll make the scene with voters, but good reading.

I'm going to try really hard to keep on top of things, adding several posts each week. If anyone is interesting becoming a regular blogger on the site, PM me. Just remember you will have to keep it objective and on topic. Also, please participate with comments if you like.

I also need help with SEO and getting more traffic to the site, I am getting a few unique visitors everyday, so thanks!

There are plugins for WordPress that you could use to edit the META tags and use specific keywords. You should also try to get more back links.

Credit Cardholders’ Bill of Rights
The House has been out of session for a few days and Representative Luján has been back in District 3 holding open office hours in several locations. Since there have not been any noteworthy votes in the last few days, I am picking a subject that Luján views as a high priority, consumer protection and specifically A Credit Cardholders’ Bill of Rights. This legislation was passed by Congress and signed into law in May. To begin our analysis, let’s examine a quote from Luján on the issue,

As I have traveled the district, I have talked to families who have worked hard and followed the rules only to be taken advantage of by unfair and predatory credit card practices. At a time when it is difficult for many New Mexicans to make ends meet, this is unacceptable.

...

I like the site, but i think the blogs need to be a little bit shorter. You want to make sure you keep the attention of a potential voter all the way through.

Thanks.

Thanks for the input, I will try to keep them a little shorter.

...I would argue that the Democratic Party is, by majority, more in line with the principles of neoconservativism than progressives. We can only conclude that Ben Ray is more interested in “being one of the gang” as opposed to being a man of principle and ideas and is certainly no progressive.

:D

I noticed that your search term seldom appears in the actual posts. You should attempt to work "Ben Ray Lujan" into every post so that google see all of the content as being relevant to the search term.

Also, pepper links to relevant sites. For example you could link to his page on congress or votesmart or the like. Google likes relevant links.

Also try to get yourself picked up on blogging aggregators and consider hooking up with twitter and facebook with a relevant name.

You can't fight the big sites that have the top billing, but you can get your content in their results.

Another Suggestion

You can increase your ranking in the "organic" search results by frequency of clicks. Or, faster but NOT free... check with your newspaper about sponsored listings. I'm sure there are other medias that do this, but I know for sure you can do it through a newspaper. Basically, you pay to be in the first five results... you pay for each click-thru on Yahoo or Google. Eventually, this increases your organic listing.
