Koch Industries Attorney Criticizes Ted Cruz for Opposing Sentencing Reform Bill

Interesting

Rand isn't yet listed as a cosponsor, but assuming he supports it (he obviously supports the general concept behind it), perhaps that ups the odds of Koch support.

Give 'em back their money, Ted.

They actually haven't given any presidential candidates any money yet and they haven't endorsed anyone yet either. I think they like Rand but they're waiting for a true conservative to arise when the caucuses get closer.

Rand is closest to the Koch libertarian ideology but they can't just be the wind beneath a potential loser, they'll lose their credibility.

Exactly, despite criticism from within the liberty movement, the Kochs are indeed libertarians; but they're very hard-nosed, practical libertarians.

They're not going to back someone until/unless they think he has a reasonable chance of winning.

IIRC, they came out with a list of a few candidates they were considering, among whom were Rand and Cruz.

If Rand wins IA, Kochs are gonna make it rain. :)

There's a reason it's called the Kochtopus. And from a libertarian perspective, it's not really a very desirable one. :p
