One of my relatives was really into backing the use of the Continental. He felt it was needed to win the war. They said when it was declared worthless he had a chest full of the stuff in his office. What it actually said.
("As evidence of the public spirit of Nathaniel Venable we quote the following:
" 'When the Government was greatly embarrassed on account of the condition of its finances, and Continental money had depreciated until it was denounced as worthless all over the country, and the people were almost in rebellion on that account, he advertised his faith in the Government by proclaiming his readiness to accept Continental money for all of his dues. Among the early recollections of this writer (Abraham B. Venable of 'Scott-Greene') is the memory of his seeing a large quantity of this money in an old chest in the 'office' in the yard at 'Slate Hill.')
Today, times are different.
When the article says, "Such expansion of the money supply is not relegated to America’s past. In response to the 2008 economic crisis, by some measurements the Federal Reserve has more than tripled the money supply."
I'm figuring that is after the nearly 26 times between the 70's and 2008. I calculate out altogether you could show a devaluation of the dollar by counterfeiting the entire money supply by thirty times since the 70's.There are other factors that should be considered but still that turns a lot of authority, or voice with a dollar, over to a criminal element. 30 times the power than the man with the honest dollar (At least that we've adjusted for.). Is it any wonder things are the way they are? Is it any wonder they always have the last word in everything we do.
To me it has been runaway inflation since they allowed the counterfeiters to rule the roost.

Even if your aware there seems little one can do. We have placed ourselves at the mercy of the counterfeiters.
