Keyes to Leave GOP for the Constitution

Paul to announce bid for president on the Republican ticket.

Uhh, he left, and he didn't get the Constitution nomination. I think Chuck Baldwin got it.

You certainly know exactly where Keyes stands on issues. He is very bright and loves to serve the Country. He takes issues deep into debate and should have been considered an asset to the GOP. Always debates with intelligences. Even when you might not agree with a particular position, he does it with class and respect.

Some big Tent that Republican Party has, NOT. Yes, Mrs. Snowe, the GOP is forecasted for a good year????? The goal is to have people signing on to join the Republican Party, not leave it.

Keyes left the GOP? Maybe there is a God, indeed.

They guy is intense and earnest. But he's also completely insane and an inveterate runner. And a loser. I only wish one thing: That Ron Paul would have demanded the microphone like Keyes did at that one debate. Just once, I wanted our guy to show some drive to prove he really wanted the job. Maybe Ron could get a transfusion from Keyes and we could just sift the crazy out.

I am very suspicious of Keyes.

AMEN! If he got the CP nomination I had thought of supporting him in the General Election (barring a miracle for Ron Paul) but after I did some research I REALLY started to doubt and Howard Phillips' speech at the CP convention (I posted a copy on my blog if anyone is interested) clinched it for me. I still need to do some research on Chuck Baldwin, but so far he sounds like the kind of man that I would LOVE to vote for. I think Alan Keyes needs to stick to writing and preaching. He's good at that.

Me too. Ron Paul acted like a statesman in the way that he acted, but I also wish that he hadn't been quite so polite ALL the time.

Yeah may be, but I can't stand listening to the guy speak! I know he is/was a pulpit preacher, but that doesn't work for me at all. I can't get passed that to the point where I can not judge where he stands on issues.

You may be right and he may be a good liberty minded candidate, but him not aligning himself with Dr. Paul in debates and his speaking style just turned me off.

if barack obama remains the presumptive nominee, how will this sit with poor alan keyes?
of all the people who must be aware of obama's national career, keyes is it! had keyes WON
the senate race, our mass media would have had to invent a new media darling this year!!!
george mcgovern & leon panetta now are on the bandwagon, as john edwards makes noises!!!
