Kenya is eyeing tens of billions
of energy sector funding from the United States-backed Power Africa

Power Africa has an ambitious goal of adding more than 10,000 megawatts (MW) of cleaner, more efficient energy generation capacity in sub-Saharan Africa. This increased capacity will make it possible to provide electricity access to 20 million new households and commercial entities in sub-Saharan Africa with on-grid, small-scale, and off-grid solutions. ]Energy and Petroleum Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir said yesterday a number of power projects are earmarked for support under the Power Africa initiative. Some of these projects include the 300MW Turkana Wind power project, the 61MW Kinangop wind project, 100MW Kipeto wind power and another 10MW biomass project. There is an additional 300MW of geothermal power to be developed from Lake Bogoria.

How are those 50 million Americans at the poverty line or below doing? Care to comment Barry on all the homeless veterans or the 20 a day lost to suicide? VA death lists? Billions and Billions to overthrow, bombs, invasions Ukraine, Syria, Libya, Iraq, Tunisia, Egypt. Building military and state structures around the world, while America falls apart, but you and the clowns in the DC cesspool want to raise more taxes and fees on working people.

How about the middle classes that bust a nut everyday, only to watch half of it go to you rich cocksuckers in Washington DC, as you impose more debt, more inflation, and devaluating the wealth of their earnings and savings? Care to comment on bailing out the Banks and Wall St, that wrecked the economy, then the same corporations foreclosed on the people, while "Friends of Angelo" get discounted mortgages/ Millions of jobs were lost, yet lets triple down on the H1B, H2C, etc workers? How about spending more time explaining the Washington DC racketeering and organized crime in "Splitting the Profits" with the corporate criminals, while families have to move in with one another and have to pay higher prices because of government?

Obama trying to buy "LIKES" and "FAVORS" around the world with the people's money.

America FUCK YEAH!

It's the same FASICSM year after year... Winners? Oh it's the usual crony corporatists/suspects, Jeffery Immelt and General Electric and Wall Street. AND... It's both parties.. It's FASCISM
The money will mostly come from existing U.S. development banks, so it doesn't require new spending from Congress. For instance, the Export-Import Bank, a government-backed lender, will finance $5 billion in projects by U.S. companies. On top of that government financing, the White House has also lined up at least $9 billion

At a breakfast meeting with reporters Monday, General Electric chief executive Jeffrey Immelt — whose company, along with Standard Bank, has a $350 million financing agreement for power projects in Africa — said the administration’s involvement has accelerated the pace of deals on the continent because it provides “a seal of approval” that reassures investors.

“Whenever the U.S. is even a small partner in a deal, it brings a lot of investors with it,” he said.

House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Rep. Edward R. Royce (R-Calif.), whose bill to make the program permanent has passed the House by a wide margin...

Coons, who has a companion bill in the Senate with Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), said the reason to pass legislation in both chambers is “to send signals to our African partners...

During a panel with Immelt and former president Bill Clinton on Tuesday, Aliko Dangote, president and chief executive of the Dangote Group, a Lagos-based business conglomerate, announced a $5 billion deal with Blackstone to invest in power
