Kentucky Sovereignty/10th Amendment Bill!!!!!!

Kentucky can now be added to the growing number of states with 10th Amendment Resolutions. Rep John Will Stacy (D) 71st District is sponsoring the 10th Amendment Resolution. The Resolution is HCR 168

ACTION TO TAKE:

1) Call the Legislative Message line in Frankfort (1-800-372-7181).
TTY Message Line 800-896-0305
Tell the operator:

"I want to leave a message for my State Representative and my State Senator and to all Senate and House Leadership members."

The operator will take your name, address and phone number (which will identify your representatives for those who don't know who they are).

The operator will then ask what message you would like to leave. Simply say:

"Please Support House Concurrent Resolution 168"

2) Call/E-mail Rep. Stacy and thank him for introducing HCR 168 and protecting Kentucky's Sovereignty by reaffirming the 10th Amendment. His contact info can be found athttp://www.lrc.ky.gov/legislator/H071.htm

3) For those of you in Eastern Kentucky, especially District 71 (Morgan, Menifee, Wolf and Rowan Counties) please let Rep Stacy know he has your support on this. Please tell others in those counties about the good work Rep Stacy is doing to protect their Rights and have them Call the hotline above as well as contact Rep Stacy.

Have any states actually passed one of these bills? Or is it just a handful of state legislators in each state introducing the bills which then go nowhere?

That Republican legislators that I've spoken with here in NC are still WAY too far in denial to vote for a bill like this... even though they'll rant on and on about Obama making the country "socialist". They won't recognize the huge steps Bush made towards dismantling our Constitution and so still think the states and citizens are protected by the Constitution...

The lower house in Oklahoma did just this week, Senate leaders say it will probably pass their chamber. The resolution does not require the Governor's signature, though he would probably sign it according to Senate leaders.

As for Kentucky, I think they should just re-pass the Kentucky Resolutions.
