Good article and great news.Maybe more and more States will make an end run around the Feds on drug laws and the floodgates will open on these laws and other tenth amendment infringements.

So just to throw a monkey wrench for people who may have gotten an opinion of me as being unreasonably principled.... I live in Virginia and absolutely will be voting for Cooch, despite some anti-liberty warts. And the reason is because... wait for it.... his warts are still based on principle.

I'm in the same boat, although I wasn't in the "definite" camp (I was at "probably") until I heard this latest news.

Anyone have a transcript of the full response? I'd be surprised if Cooch actually supported legalization himself, and since it would most likely have to be done through voter referendum, I'd be shocked if it legalized here in VA anyway. I do appreciate what comments were quoted though. True, he's not exactly what I'd call a liberty guy, but he's dead set against federal encroachment on state authority and willing to put his money where his mouth is. Thats the kind of guy we need in the Governor's mansion right now and the main reason why I'm supporting him.

I hope the campaign develops this down the road. It's a small thing, but it's something that can change how voters view him overall.
