Kelley Paul headlining fundraiser for Kentucky GOP hopefuls

FRANKFORT, Ky. — Kelley Paul, the reserved wife of one of Kentucky's most outspoken politicians, is headlining a fundraiser for two state GOP candidates.

Paul will appear at a fundraiser on Thursday for secretary of state candidate Bill Johnson and state treasurer candidate K.C. Crosbie in Bowling Green.

The wife of Republican U.S. Sen. Rand Paul, Kelley Paul is especially popular among tea party activists to whom Johnson and Crosbie have been reaching out on the campaign trail.

Kelley Paul proved herself as a capable campaigner last year when she occasionally stood in for her husband at political events he was unable to attend.
