Keep calling!!!

I just converted a Cruz supporter to Rand over the phone right now. It's not to late; the caucus is not decided. Pick up the phone and keep calling!!!

I can only +rep you once. And it's completely meaningless in comparison to what you just did. Getting someone to change support is one better than creating a new supporter. Awesome.

Yay! Cruzers must be easy targets right now.

Generally ideologically close to us, he had a bad debate, rand had a great debate. Cruz is getting hammered due to his voter violation mail. Just hammer home that rand can also win due to a late surge in the polls to 9% and a huge college army that is underreported. Trow in some goldman sachs connections to cruz via his wife and campaign manager, link it to his missed vote on audit the fed and badaboom, you got yourself a new rand supporter.

The power of one person calling from the comfort of their very own home. If Rand wins this thing by 1 vote, Jonderdonk, you will be the KING of RPF.

No more : Which state do you think Rand can win threads? Put that forum energy into www.callingfromhome.com

Btw, let us know what his concerns was about Cruz, what made him go soft and what did you say to change his mind, this way some of us can apply it if we run into the same situation.

I talked about the mailers being a violation of privacy and indicative of what his Presidency would look like in terms of statist surveillance, his missed vote on the Fed, and his general lack of consistency/authenticity in his positions (immigration, NSA, interventionist foreign policy).

More Ammo from Washington Post:

Billionaire casino magnate Sheldon Adelson and his wife Miriam have not yet made public contributions to any of the super PACs flanking the 2016 presidential candidates. But they offered one indication of one White House hopeful who intrigues them: each gave the $2,700 maximum to Sen. Ted Cruz's presidential campaign in mid-November.

In an email, Adelson adviser Andy Abboud said the donations should not viewed as a sign that the Adelsons had settled on a single contender to get behind, adding they had given to "several" candidates. In March, they maxed out to Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, who has since dropped out of the race.

Cruz and his rivals have assiduously courted the Adelsons, who gave more than $92 million to GOP-allied super PACs in the 2012 election. The senator from Texas had a private two-hour meeting with Adelson in New York at the end of November, according to the New York Observer.

Damn, for some reason the call-in opportunity went right over my head. Thought it was about calling senators or something. I signed up but it may take too long for me to get my username and password.

While I'm waiting, if someone here is on a call with someone that won't budge on traditional values and doesn't trust Rand, tell them this: The candidate that is the best on moral values isn't necessarily the one who has the entire Bible memorized. Rand Paul is the best candidate on values not just because of his pro-life plans for the state level and federal level, but also because he is the ONLY one with a shot at actually converting people into having traditional values; he is a roll model for young libertarians, and can make it seem normal (perhaps even cool) to be pro-life. As far as values go, Rand is also the only one that effectively treats freedom as a moral issue, which means Rand is the only across-the-board moral candidate running for president. But with a Bible-preaching, has-the-whole-Bible-memorized Republican as president, kids will just tune him out and may turn to the Bernie Sanderses of the world for values instead.

to be fair, the campaign asks you, when calling, not to try and convert anyone.

But uy do it anyway, this is not about one campaign its one citizen to another. We are here to protect each other from a tyrannical government...convert all you want

And I bet that guy will tell his friends and family, and he might convert them, who may go on to convert other people

Yeah, I guess I'd ask them if they want help deciding, and then admit you're biased before helping so that they don't think you're up to something.

right, but in this instance, i think you want to try and do whats asked, because what if cruz or trump supporters signed up and were making calls under rand's campaign and converting people?

This is because you may hurt more than help if you bring up "the wrong thing".

You want to show that candidate X agrees about [issue person feels strongly about] and leave out anything they may disagree on. GOTV/ID calls have no data to base such things off of. Could be damaging despite the best of intentions.

That is how it was explained to me.

Look people there are tons of undecided voters left and tons of religious voters who don't know what to do.

I just told a religious voter who was undecided that Rand is the only reasonable voice on foreign policy and Ted Cruz wanting to make the sand glow in the middle east is UN-CHRISTIAN. I had this voter almost locked down but the call ran out of time, I got most of the best points out of the way so I think she's going to lean toward Rand. People want to make the right choices but they're not informed enough.

Make calls!

Always ask what they care about or what main issue are they basing their vote on this year. You can control the conversation by giving them choices on what you want to talk about by being general.

Are you more concerned about pro-life values, balancing the budget, foreign policy, etc...

Then when they choose one of your topics, you can tell them why Rand is strong on it. Be personable, talk with a smile and you should get a good response.

We may also want to try: "You want to save people from ISIS? If America collapses from debt, there may not BE an America to save people from ISIS, or whatever evil exists in the future. The national debt isn't some game - we can't just keep pushing it up forever by spending tons of money on the military. Something has to change."

Looks like they're calling independents now, we need every vote we can get, its going to be close people!

Just talked to a guy that WANTS to go in undecided and will based his decision on the stump speeches~
