WTH are you talking about? The Governator wanted to fire state employees and sell stuff but the Dems hated big time.

My fiancee and I would like to honeymoon there in early December 2009.

Will their bankruptcy make everything there (sporting events, restaurants, hotels, etc.) a lot cheaper?

Or should we consider going somewhere else?

One thing is for sure: if I lived in CA and they sent me an I.O.U. for my tax refund, I'd be deducting that amount from the amount they want me to pay in the coming year and I'd start paying less in case they are thinking of sending me an I.O.U. next year.

I lived in LA during the riot. I lived close enough to the action that ash was falling in my driveway. But here is an interesting point - the rioters NEVER entered residential areas. Can you guess why? Here's a hint: half of all homes in the US have a firearm.

I was at an LA Galaxy soccer game and there was a corner of the stadium where everyone wore black T-shirts that said 'LA Riot Fans'. They sure made themselves known .... made me fairly uncomfortable as I was seated above them and just watched. I do think they will leave most residential areas alone though. Too many guns and the wrong targets.

Perhaps they targeted businesses because they saw them as manifestations of capitalism a.k.a The Man a.k.a. Da Man a.k.a. EL Hombre.
