You've heard about Lamar Smith and SOPA.
You may not have heard about Bob Goodlatte.
The internet blackout in response to the SOPA/PIPA censorship bill finds it’s roots in central VA’s 6th district. One of the key politicians behind the bill is Bob Goodlatte -who spent much of last year writing the bill- after which he introduced SOPA to Congress in his subcommittee on Intellectual Property, Competition and Internet as a co-sponsor with Rep. Lamar Smith of TX. He is experiencing blowback from the bill in the form of a strong anti-SOPA challenger in his district’s Republican primary- something that has never happened to him in some 20 years of being in office. Goodlatte is desperately trying to keep his authorship/introduction of SOPA quiet, choosing rather to let Rep Lamar Smith of TX be the SOPA front-man since the security of Smith’s seat makes the negative publicity much more affordable for him than for Goodlatte, whose June 12th primary makes the now politically-toxic bill a serious election liability. One of our own- Karen Kwiatkowski - a Ron Paul Republican and frequent contributor to LewRockwell.com, intends to fire the man behind SOPA and has a serious chance at it with your help. I'm in Karen's district and working with her campaign. Goodlatte is definitely vulnerable which is why he is so desperate to keep the focus of this SOPA uprising off of him. We need your help/ideas to change that! Also we things are really ramping up and the campaign is looking for help- anybody interested in contributing in any way send me a message!
