Karen's been campaigning hard. She has updated her web site to include a calendar of events so it will be easier to follow the campaign.

Goodlatte has two opponents, but you wouldn’t know that from the way he’s running

Bob Goodlatte -------------- Karen Kwiatkowski ----------------- Andy Schmookler

Congressman Bob Goodlatte hasn’t had a lot of close races since he was first elected to represent the 6th District in 1992. Some years, he’s had no opponent at all.

This year, he’s got two opponents: Karen Kwiatkowski is running against him in the Republican primary on June 12, and Democrat Andy Schmookler awaits the winner in the general election.

But Goodlatte is running the same way he does every campaign. In fact, you wouldn’t know he even has an opponent from what he says at events and in news releases.

I’ve got a story in the paper and on roanoke.com today that talks about that dynamic.

Share your thoughts on Goodlatte, Kwiatkowski and Schmookler. Do you expect a tight race this year? What are the most important issues in the 6th District and in Congress?
