I'm not sure where to post this during this important Presidential season. We used to have a Liberty candidates forum, but I can't locate it.
For those not familiar with Karen, she writes articles that are found often on Lew Rockwell.com and she is a true blue Ron Paul supporter.
I used to live in the 6th....and I cannot tell you how jazzed I would be to have a Ron Paul Republican running my old district. I'd probably move back.

Col. Karen Kwiatkowski is a U.S. Air Force veteran, wife, mother, grandmother and cattle farmer living in the Shenandoah Valley of western Virginia. She is running for Congress in the 6th Congressional District of Virginia as a hard-core Republican defender of liberty and The Constitution. She will face Bob Goodlatte, a ten-term big government Republican.

I oppose any additional funding of a federal government that is already functioning far beyond its constitutional limits, and that has accumulated a long-term foreign and domestic debt that ranges from the $14.5 trillion owed to investors, to the over $60 trillion owed in entitled promises to the citizens. I consider this debt largely unpayable, and expect that, if left to its own devices, the federal government will eventually default and restructure debt owed to foreign investors (or declare war), and that the federal government will intentionally inflate away the value of the massive entitlement debt owed to Americans.
I oppose any increases in taxation, on individuals or businesses. I will work to repeal the 16th Amendment establishing a federal income tax, and in this repeal, I stand with the Fair Tax advocates. I oppose increases in borrowing limits, and would work to see that the federal government divest itself of a great deal of property, land and buildings. I would advocate that government agencies and departments downsize by 10% each year, and in several cases, be completely eliminated until a more constitutional federal infrastructure is re-established. Overseas military and economic aid should be drastically reduced. A reduction in the size and expense of a federal government will stimulate private market capital availability to borrowers, and create entrepreneurial opportunities for Americans and foreign investors alike in this country.
The Federal Reserve System was formed in 1913 as a public-private entity, and since that time the dollar has lost over 95% of its value.
Another way to look at this inflationary trend is understand that what cost $100 in 1913 costs around $2,200 dollars today. This inflation is the result of perpetual money creation through the sale of government bonds, and the Federal Reserve has served an instrumental role in allowing the unprecedented growth of the federal government in the 20th and 21st centuries.
I will pursue routine and objective audits of the Federal Reserve, and will seek to eliminate the Federal Reserve Bank as a government bank, and allow the regional Federal Reserve banks to compete freely without the ability to artificially mandate interest rates.
