I'm not sure where to post this during this important Presidential season. We used to have a Liberty candidates forum, but I can't locate it.

For those not familiar with Karen, she writes articles that are found often on Lew Rockwell.com and she is a true blue Ron Paul supporter.

I used to live in the 6th....and I cannot tell you how jazzed I would be to have a Ron Paul Republican running my old district. I'd probably move back.

Col. Karen Kwiatkowski is a U.S. Air Force veteran, wife, mother, grandmother and cattle farmer living in the Shenandoah Valley of western Virginia. She is running for Congress in the 6th Congressional District of Virginia as a hard-core Republican defender of liberty and The Constitution. She will face Bob Goodlatte, a ten-term big government Republican.

From her issues page on her site:
I oppose any additional funding of a federal government that is already functioning far beyond its constitutional limits, and that has accumulated a long-term foreign and domestic debt that ranges from the $14.5 trillion owed to investors, to the over $60 trillion owed in entitled promises to the citizens. I consider this debt largely unpayable, and expect that, if left to its own devices, the federal government will eventually default and restructure debt owed to foreign investors (or declare war), and that the federal government will intentionally inflate away the value of the massive entitlement debt owed to Americans.

I oppose any increases in taxation, on individuals or businesses. I will work to repeal the 16th Amendment establishing a federal income tax, and in this repeal, I stand with the Fair Tax advocates. I oppose increases in borrowing limits, and would work to see that the federal government divest itself of a great deal of property, land and buildings. I would advocate that government agencies and departments downsize by 10% each year, and in several cases, be completely eliminated until a more constitutional federal infrastructure is re-established. Overseas military and economic aid should be drastically reduced. A reduction in the size and expense of a federal government will stimulate private market capital availability to borrowers, and create entrepreneurial opportunities for Americans and foreign investors alike in this country.

The Federal Reserve System was formed in 1913 as a public-private entity, and since that time the dollar has lost over 95% of its value.

Another way to look at this inflationary trend is understand that what cost $100 in 1913 costs around $2,200 dollars today. This inflation is the result of perpetual money creation through the sale of government bonds, and the Federal Reserve has served an instrumental role in allowing the unprecedented growth of the federal government in the 20th and 21st centuries.

I will pursue routine and objective audits of the Federal Reserve, and will seek to eliminate the Federal Reserve Bank as a government bank, and allow the regional Federal Reserve banks to compete freely without the ability to artificially mandate interest rates.

I've met her and I think she has a good grasp on the issues from the military industrial complex to sovereignty issues. Bob Goodlatte doesn't support the views of the local Tea Party nor the Liberty movement so lets get Karen in :D

Goodlatte has not been what we have needed in the 6th. When Paul's President he's gonna need people like Karen.

As a former online poker player, I have a lot of disdain for Representative Goodlatte. We've got to get Karen in this seat.

Right now she is trying to get her petition of qualified voters forms in per an email I received. This is the same legal hurdle that sunk Gingrich and the others who failed to get on virginias ballot. Its a bit easier as you only need 1000 signatures. Ill post the details soon.

Happy New Year!! We are now gathering the 1,000 signatures of registered voters in the 6th District of Virginia, effective 1 January 2012. 1000 verified signatures (and $3500) will get us on the GOP primary ballot so that we may send Bob Goodlatte into the history books as the former representative for the 6th District. Ofcourse we intend to turn in several thousand, with your help!

Here are some key things to remember as you gather signatures. As a petition circulator, you must:
1) Use a two-sided Commonwealth of Virginia's Petition of Qualified Voters forms (Karen Kwiatkowski pre-printed forms are available here in legal size and letter sizeversions)
2) Collect only signatures from residents registered to vote in the 6th District, and
3) Be a resident of the 6th District, and be eligible to vote yourself.

The key in using these templates is to print them two-sided. (Warning: Some home printers do not print with waterproof ink, so protect petitions from rain, snow, and spilled drinks. Be sure to use waterproof ink pens as well.)
Remind our citizens that signing a petition is not a vote or an endorsement, just a 6th District voter's agreement that my name will appear on the primary ballot. Residents may sign one time for each candidate -- meaning a person who signs our petition may also sign a petition for Mr. Goodlatte, as they wish.
Petition collectors, as well as those signing the petitions, must be residents of the 6th District. We don't have the new district boundaries yet -- but Shenandoah, Rockingham, Augusta, Bath, Highland, Rockbridge, Botetourt, Bedford, northern Roanoke County, Amherst, and Lynchburg City are solid 6th District and we'll start there. We do expect Page and Warren to be added, and the loss of some of Roanoke City and Salem. If in doubt, call us or email us!
The full name and addresses entered by the signers must be as shown on their voting card. Nicknames (unless that is what is on the voter card) and P.O. Boxes cannot be used. Entering the last four digits of an individual's social security number is completely optional.
You must be present for each signature made on the petition. When the sheet is complete (12 signatures for the letter size and 20 signatures on the legal size) or you are finished with that locality (you may line out any remaining empty lines), your own verification signature on the back of the two-sided form must be notarized. Don't fill out or sign the affidavit section of the petition form until you are in the presence of the notary. Don't use a notary who is also your relative! Check your local bank for free notary service, there is no need to pay for a notary.
Print as many petitions as you need, with a new petition for each county or city. Don't mix signers from different counties or cities on a single petition form.
Don't sign your own petition form! Instead, find a fellow supporter of small government and liberty in the 6th District, and sign their petition for Karen Kwiatkowski instead.
We'll have about a two month window to get these petitions notarized and collected (send completed ones to Lisa McCumsey at P.O. Box 156, Port Republic, VA 24471 or call us at 540-271-4329 and we'll come and collect them from you). Print several two-sided petitions (legal size or letter size) and keep spare copies in your briefcase, backpack, pocketbook, car, truck, fourwheeler and motorcycle, and always have a pen on hand. As we get closer to the petition turn-in date, we'll let you know our status and turn in dates.
Please forward this email to your friends and fellow freedom lovers, and ask them to gather petitions as well. The more the merrier. As we petition and meet new people, many of whom will be supporters! Be cheerful and polite, and be prepared to share our palm card and other handouts. We will get copies of these to you (ask us now if you need them), and our palm card is also here, so if you run out you can print more for temporary use. Answer voter questions about our campaign for the Constitution and liberty, and if voters have concerns or questions and comments, make a note to share those with us!

In liberty and Happy New Year!
Karen Kwiatkowski

DAMN!!! This candidate sounds like a Ron Paul clone. Every bit as good as Amash only maybe better! She has a killer resume and is very articulate. Hope we can all help her with some $$$. I wonder how much money would ensure her victory in this district? My only concern is that her website does not mention foreign policy in the "issues" section (I just emailed her campaign and suggested adding this). She speaks of foreign policy extensively, however, in the above video regarding the Veterans For Ron Paul March. I'm jazzed about this candidate!I feel like an idiot for not hearing about her sooner.
