Justin Amash drops out of presidential race as third-party candidate

If you don’t follow LP people on social media, then you probably missed the total shit-show that has been taking place over the last 2 weeks. What are people fighting over? The validity of having an online convention, without a physical one. The LNC has been paralyzed with people in both camps fighting over this, and Justin apparently didn’t want to be caught in the crossfire. Now the LP has lost its greatest financial asset raising ability, and is looking into the abyss of a cash crunch and the party falling apart before the election. A total clusterfuck. Time to fire everyone in LP leadership and start over.
Because they run their party like a democracy. With any organization that is always a short path to failure.

Now he can run for Governor against Queen Whitmer in 2022.

I think you are being sarcastic but if not, he would NEVER win a governor's race even as a Republican. He would be a sacrificial joke candidate that Republicans put up in a lot of these gubernatorial and senate races like Pete Hoekstra and this John James guy who will lose by 20.

Obviously someone chirped in his ear about this to influence this decision. Wonder what that the context was. This makes absolutely no sense. Gave up his House seat for nothing then changes his mind at the last minute for the LP nomination, which he certainly would have gotten.

What does he even do now? Work for his family? Maybe the Cato Institute pays him something to do I have no idea what.

Maybe he has ideas other than being an elected official? Perhaps he was tired of the B.S. in Congress, decided to to do a symbolic run in the LP, and discovered that the drama in the Libertarian Party is as bad or worse than in the swamp?
