Justices Rule Inmates Don’t Have Right to DNA Tests

This guy (justice Roberts) graduated from law school? Quick-somebody check to see if his degree is written in crayon and signed by Ronald McDonald!;)
Unfortunately modern law is taught in a very bad way. Lawyers are taught that it's not based upon justice or liberty, etc, but it's based upon 1 side arguing against the other, and in the conflict the verdict will arise. In other words when the two sides clash the result must be the correct answer.

I personally like the idea of "it's better for 10 guilty men to go free than 1 innocent man to be wrongly convicted".

Remember though it isn't about attempting to determine the truth (very subjective term), but it's about ensuring proper process is followed and that the verdict is reached properly, regardless of its accuracy. Remember when you appeal you can't appeal the facts of the case or the verdict, you have to appeal the procedure. When one is brainwashed by law school into that thought pattern it's very difficult to break out of it.
