Just Got Back from Louisiana HQ

but I would think there would be an announcement of the caucus vote..... but maybe I'm being naive...

Oh yes, we expect an announcement. They have to let use know who the delegates will be and we know who our people are. My point is more that "anything can happen" when it comes to establishment shenanigans between now and the state convention.

Do we ever know that.

I'm concerned about Alaska.....

Until I see an official vote tally or delegate election announcement from the LA GOP for all CDs, I'm skeptical. I don't doubt the claim, because I think we are going to win it, I just want to be doubly, triply sure before I accept it. I'm too close to it to hear we won, accept it, and then have it turn out we didn't.

here are some bay state toadys done just got spawned from nine of our local ponds

Agreed.

That's more-or-less accurate though. We did float multiple slates, mostly to compete with all the shenanigans that have been pulled on us in the past and we were expecting again.

Though, I know for a fact we did NOT distribute any kind of guide nor actively push any of the slates except for slate #7 in Gretna where I was the site-coordinator. We A.) didn't have the manpower in volunteers and B.) didn't think it was necessary. We had strong RP support and we won without pushing the other RP-supporting slates (though those slates gathered a small handful of votes, they didn't really matter at my location).

Also, I'm fairly certain we weren't running a "fake" Romney slate. We were running a "block" Romney slate though. We weren't advertising it falsely as supporting him though, as far as I'm aware.

It is only the guide which he says pretends slates do different things... I'm thinking the Romney folks put it out to discredit us as they emailed to media the 'Ron Paul command central' bogus email re: the Alaska Convention.

I am glad we didn't do the guide, that makes the dirty trick on their side, and hopefully we can demonstrate that.

A campaign facebook entry would be fine for my purposes! So long as it is from the campaign!

While we are waiting, this is what Green Papers says about Louisiana:

Saturday 28 April 2012: District Caucuses convene to choose delegates to the State Convention. The participants will alone determine if presidential preference is to be a factor in such choice and, if so, how it is to be applied.

22 April 2012: Louisiana Republican Party Announces Official Slates and Ballots.

Saturday 2 June 2012: The State Convention convenes at 10 am in Shreveport to elect delegates to the Republican National Convention.

18 National Convention district delegates-- 3 from each of the state's 6 Congressional Districts are elected in the Congressional District meetings. The participants at the State Convention alone determine if presidential preference is to be a factor in such choice and, if so, how it is to be applied. These delegates are official designated as uncommitted. [Rule No. 19. (c) and 20. (a)]
20 National Convention At-Large delegates are elected according to the results of the primary. [Rule No. 19. (d) and 20. (b)]
5 National Convention delegates are nominated by the Executive Committee. These delegates are official designated as uncommitted. [Rule No. 19. (e) and 20. (b)]
The 3 party leaders, the National Committeeman, the National Committeewoman, and the chairman of the Louisiana's Republican Party, will attend the convention as unpledged delegates by virtue of their position.

Once it's confirmed that Paul has indeed won all 6 districts, does that mean it marks the first time Paul has done that in any state?
