Just back from the rally in Lake Jackson, Texas - photos

PS. The guy opposing Dr. Paul for his congressional seat was holding a sad sack rally of his own..mainly consisting of a few bored straglers who seemed bored and uninspired..

No pics of Peden's rally? O come on. I needed a good laugh today.

Hey I was at that rally too. How funny you got a picture of me I am the pregnant girl in green in front of the band. That was my first rally it was very exciting. There were a ton of people and the granny warrior was there also.

I thought about it, but i didn't want to get labeled as a troll for posting the pics.

It was really nothing.. they just had some folks inside their meeting hall looking out the windows at all the Ron Paul supporters!!!

I think we bummed them out!!:D:):D

Painter.
We were there with the family...it was a great time. Great speech. I am amazed at Dr. Paul's energy...giving that speech, then going out to the overflow crowd outside and delivering a speech.

Then, standing out in the sun shaking hands and taking pictures in a reception line. So thoughtful to be that accessible to his supporters. This has got to be extremely tiring for him (though he didn't seem to feel that way at all). It means so much that he is willing to do this on top of spreading his message of liberty.

i see people wearing T-shirts, here in Wisconsin the wind chill was -31!!!!!

I'm sorry Trigonx. We've had our windows open all day and sunshine was really nice.
I saw people out in their shorts today.

go ahead rub it in :)

haha its cool, i'm glad Ron Paul is in nice warm weather. Being outside for more than a few minutes is like torture. However later tonight i'm putting up some Ron Paul signs in the bitter cold so when people wake up to go to work/school(i live in a subdivision where a High School, Middle School, and a YMCA all have to use my street to come and go,and communters from I-94 will pass by the signs as well) they will see fresh Ron Paul signs.

Yeah, it was a beautiful day in Lake Jackson. High of 73 for the day. Beautiful and sunny. It was a grand day for listening to the grand doctor.

I forgot to dry off my hair before going out. In about 5 steps from the door my hair had turned to ice. ICE!!! It's disturbingly cold here and they said it was supposed to be warmer this winter than last, pffffft. Ah well, I won't hold your weather against you.

I'm very glad the rally was a success. Just a curiosity though, I noticed that alot of people had Ron Paul for president shirts on so I'm just wondering approximately how many were actually from his district?

It's tough to tell. More than in Peden's tiny room...that's for sure. :)

It's global warming;)

Anybody know where we can download those photos the official photo guy was taking of us? I know someone said we'd be able to download the ones with us in them.

I just sent them to HQ about 10 min ago so give them a bit to post them. :)

I got to the rally about 1:50, maxed out capacity! The Peden rally was pathetic, I took some video from outside and when I walked by, there were probably 50 people total walking around inside their large conference room (large enough where my friend had his wedding AND reception there for about 300 folks)... Sad really, he doesn't stand a chance.

Great to see it filled to capacity and there were folks waiting outside in the courtyard (a hundred or so, maybe 200) while they were inside for the longer speech.

And of course, I set up to record it and then after the speech, I hit the red button to "stop" and then it "started" recording, so I missed recording the outside speech! DAMN you technology! j/k.

Great to see so many folks waiting around to shake hands and get a picture as well, probably about 1.5 hours of handshaking the good Dr. did today...

It's true, freedom is popular.
