Several activists came out to Cheshire “superior” court yesterday morning to perform jury outreach with NHJury.com fliers encouraging jurors to learn about jury nullification – your right as a juror to judge the law itself and vote your conscience.
Hopefully jurors will take the information to heart and use compassion for their peaceful neighbor in the upcoming trial of heroic 420 celebration founder Rich Paul. Rich is facing multiple cannabis distribution charges that could result in 81 years in prison. Rich has been offered a plea deal of a year in jail and has refused. He wants to be the first person acquitted for the peaceful, victimless “crime” of selling some cannabis to consenting adults. Most people would have taken the deal. Rich is standing firm on his beliefs – he has done no harm. No victim, no crime.
Here is a facebook event for the trial which begins Tuesday April 16th at 9am at Cheshire “superior” court at 12 Court St. Jury nullification sigh waving begins at 7:50am. Please come out and support Rich!

If anyone is going, know the "law." Or rather, what they call the law.

Agents could be amongst the crowd. If your words are misinterpreted or not stated correctly, you could be breaking vague laws regarding "jury tampering." An overzealous prosecutor would surely want to make an example of someone who they see as sabotaging their aspirations. Hopefully there is much literature about the subject, on how to do it in a legal manner, and hopefully there are multiple video accounts of the event.

It's a shame it needs said, but it does.

And may God have mercy on a society that even contemplates imprisoning a man for selling a plant (which just so happens to be one of the safest substances known to man) to people who want the plant. What an absurd bastardization of Law.

Rich Paul has now been sentenced. One year in jail, and three more on probation, much less than the maximum. Reminiscent of many of Martin Luther King's trials, the judge, John Kissinger Jr., chose to treat him as more of a naughty child, than as serious menace to state authority.
During the sentencing hearing, Mr. Paul did have an opportunity to speak. In a 20 minute statement, with head held high, he lashed out against the Drug War and the FBI. The video of this is now circulating widely. In contrast to the sorry state of the American legal system, his dignity shines through.
His appeal is currently moving forward.

Yeah, I wonder how that trial turned out.

Edit: Seems my typing abilities are pretty slow. LOL

I'll blame it on my computer being jerky.
