Jon Stewart to cover Ames/Paul media blackout on Daily Show - Tonight

I think that reasonable Democrats, even if they don't want to vote for a Republican in general, respect a change from the hypocrisy of the establishment. Think about it: Deficit spending and entitlements are bad, welfare is bad, foreign welfare is great, foreign wars are great, limited government is good, government should define marriage, gays are the loch ness monster, go bailouts!

At least Paul is consistent, isn't a war propagandist and respects civil liberties. I think that can go a long way even with the left

Careful not to oversell. Most "reasonable" (read: moderate) Democrats are in favor of entitlements and welfare and fairly strongly so at that. When dealing with them it's best to steer clear of or downplay issues about which there is likely to be disagreement. Just some friendly advice. Stick to wars, civil liberties, keeping government out of the bedroom, his prediction of the housing bubble, and opposition to the bailouts. Dems really hate crony capitalism. Try linking them to this: http://washingtonexaminer.com/blogs...ldman-obama039s-enron-no-it039s-worse-updated

Winning over moderate Dems and independents is a reasonable goal, but requires a very different strategy from winning over neocons and social conservatives. Keep that in mind when campaigning for the good Dr. =)

This was GREAT! I can't wait to hear what the big news for the campaign is coming out of Politico tomorrow morning. Things are really starting to heat up!

amazing, Stewart is clearly a left-leaning guy, but he gives respect when it's due, plus he's brilliant at it

That was truthiness with humor sprinkled on it.

I love it. That segment makes me respect Jon Stewart a thousand times more.

Stewart is doing nothing but sticking his finger in the eye of the GOP establishment - he knows they hate Paul almost as much as the media, and his audience loves to see the Perrys and the Bachmanns taken down a peg.

It was a hilarious segment though, and definitely helpful for us.

The media are whores and all should be ashamed of themselves. How can they ever look their kids in the eyes after their shameful actions?

Wow I wanna see it! someone put it up again!

LOL! Gary Busey beats Huntsman 77 to 69 Who was the CNN A-hole anchor that said "bring the Sarah Palin videos and soundbites back, but hold the Ron Paul Stuff."? Even the DS live crowd *signed* at that CNN anchor's comment.

I knew Stewart had it in him. But after watching him for the last 8 years, don't be surprised when he follows orders and pushes an establishment candidate, or ignores Ron Paul from here on out. I think he's a decent person, for a celebrity at least. That segment rocked though. I hope Stewart has him on and they talk about the abortion issue. That's a killer for a lot of democrats.

we gotta post this everywhere twitter and facebook that way more people can see this blackout we are enduring but in a hilarious light not just us whining about it so it will connect with people more.

Hannity has become too clever to say anything over the top from the previous cycle. We still got him in some clips, but if he wasn't already prepared for watching what he said, we probably would have had some better clips.

ToD award! What a segment - I haven't laughed so hard in a long time. And why is it so funny? Because it's true.

I think it was a bit more than that. Ideologically consistent, the real deal, started the Tea Party, doesn't pander. It was practically an endorsement.
