John McCain will never be President of the United States of America. His place of birth was sovereign to the Republic of Panama.

Besides, having been born abroad myself and raised in military bases, I asked if I qualified many times and was always told that since I was born a citizen that I did. Probably like McCain, I have a 'Certificate of Birth Abroad' from the State Department which makes me a natural born citizen.

Obama was born in Hawaii I believe and this issue has long been covered in the NY Times about Mcinsane although not accurately and not without bias. There has been an in-depth study by a professor at ASU who claims that Mcinsane does NOT fit the constitutional standard for president. He also stated that he knows this is not the popular train of thought but it is still his view that he does not meet the standard set by the Constitution. I think there may be a law suit by one of the northeast states(New Hampshire?) concerning this issue.

The term 'natural born citizen' is too ambiguous to be interpreted as 'born on US soil' by a court of law. It obviously was meant as 'not a naturalized citizen'... but I'm not a judge who knows.

I definitely don't support the guy seeing him and the GOP approaching NAZI like behavior... Wasn't there some issue with Johnny Mac having alot of classified video of him that isn't favorable? I remember someone saying the 527 swift boat group had something on him, Songbird McCain or something. But the media doesn't seem to be very investigative anymore these days.

Your right about arguing the point because people can't see past his father and grand-father. That is just one of the problems. It doesn't seem right but without an amendment that is the way it stands right now. That ASU professor looked it all through and seems like he sees it the way it is. Might be a moot point because I don't see Mcinsane beating Obama anyway.

Naturalized citizen is a different legal status than natural born citizen. All U.S. citizens are one or the other. People born on military bases overseas are naturalized citizens because their citizenship does not come from being naturally born in the U.S.

Only natural born citizens are eligible to hold the office of President. The Constitution is very clear. Any questions?

Yeah, if McCain is naturalized wouldn't he have to have immigration papers? I was always lead to believe that those born on a US military base were natural born citizens.

The constitution doesn't define natural born citizen so I would think that the Congress could define it any way they want to.

Actually, children of military families are considered natural-born citizens. See § 1401. Nationals and citizens of United States at birth. Sen. McCain's case is a tad bit more complicated

Military born babies are absolutely considered natural born, as long as their parents are both US citizens. They could be born on Mars and they would still be natural born.

Naturalized means they were originally citizens of other countries, and later became US citizens.

This has been the law in some form or another since the nation began.

Do you really think that the soldiers serving our countries should give up the rights of their children as part of their service? That's just idiocy.

they are NOW, but were they in 1936? apparently the law has changed down through the years. also, there is some question about if the hospital that McCain was supposedly born in was even built at the time - could he have been born outside the canal zone in some temporary facility? all the angles and wrinkles have to be considered, not just what flies off the top of one's head at the time.

I and others have posted copius posts regarding this and O'S not being a citizen. I got the usual "it's been posted and vetted already".

NO IT HASN'T, and now at this late date we are going to try and do something about it. I say YES. Please any attorneys out there that will help us, we need to file some law suits damn it. We need to do, not just talk about it.

I have discovered something lately that is very scary. In the age of internet and talk radio, words no longer seem to have any meaning.

Anything can come forward and it is just brushed under the rug. I mean how on earth can a bi sexual Black muslim non citizen with a cocaine habit who wants to limit how much food you can eat be the front runner......because words no longer have any meaning.
