I can't wait for RP to be on MTV.

They're fighting because they want America to be safe, or they wouldn't be out there putting their lives on the line.

He's using Paul's language. "Empire", "Oil", "Illegal".

Half the battle is getting the other guy to defend against your terms.

Then he follows it up by saying we should just believe him and not be troubled by his opponents facts, which he can't refute.

McCain was in the documentary "Why We Fight" and the film was about American blowback and imperialism. McCain was actually anti-war in the film. He asked "When does America go from a force of good to a force of imperialism?" He also was susupicious of Dick Cheney's Halliburton connections and said he wanted them investigated. I was actually shocked when I first heard he supported the Iraq War and how he wanted to bomb Iran. But then he is a pandering politician as most of them are except for Ron Paul.

my own opinion is huge on this, but if i could say one paragraph why it is bad its this: I am perfectly healthy, non smoker, eat organic foods, and snack on natural vegetables and fruits no medical problems, but my neighbor has tons of them, hes on 8 different prescriptions for a multitude of things (gee doctors love giving them out now days don't they?), is obese, smokes 3 packs a day, and eats nothing but sugar, and mcdonalds

OUR INSURANCE RATES WOULD BE THE SAME!!!

I'm the fat smoker who likes junk food. I haven't missed a day of work in 20 years and have better overall health than most thin people. I'll gladly pay higher premiums in a market system, but if the government has their way I'll end up in "health Gitmo" with them telling me just how to live my life. Since I earn more money than average, I'll probably be paying more than I would under the market system anyway.

Yeah, I never understood the whole VA thing. Why not just pay the medical costs of soldiers going to normal hospitals? Why shouldn't soldiers get the same quality of care as everyone else?

I'd like to know how somebody can make a claim to be true, while less evidence supports his own view than is against it and then state he can only have his view changed with "incontrovertible evidence otherwi--to the contrary". He states his opinion is a fact; yet the actual facts lean more towards Paul's view. He ignores the information there is and yet, demands, basically, "perfect" dissenting information to change his view, which is impossible. Can somebody explain to me how that works?

Dr. Paul was right, McCain is very emotional about this issue. I sensed some anger in his response.

Yeah he was so upset his voice was almost shaking.

Frankly the fact that he goes and eats Thanksgiving with them and so forth, while a nice thing to do, does not make him an expert on what the men and women their think.

I mean I am sure he attracts like minded people - duh! Is some soldier who disagrees with McCain going to go to the effort to get to see him and tell him so, the man who may someday be his Commander in Chief?

I like how that question got under McCain's skin, and I don't think the audience much appreciated what he said or how he said it.

I respect McCain for the price he paid for this country, but it does not give him the right to wrap himself in the flag and say anyone who disagrees with me is unpatriotic, and I have scars to prove my patriotism.

McCain is a demagogue, pure and simple. He really doesn't have any substance as far as I'm concerned. He hides behind the men and women in the military because no one would dare say anything against them. I'm tired of McCain's bullshit.

Exactly how I feel. McCain the war hero cowers behind empty slogans like support our troops. He's not even worth our time any more. He's losing and his days in this campaign are coming to an end soon.

He also said that there are no Thomas Jeffersons in Iraq; I hope that was a slip of tongue, also. How can evaluate the talent and abilities of an entire nation? That's very ignorant to say that there is no one of his caliber there, I mean, we have one here...

McCain forgets that Ron Paul isn't against the soldiers, he's against the policy that's keeping them there. Yes, the soldiers believe their fighting to keep America safe ... but that just isn't the case. The policy is flawed. It's not making us safer, it's making us more at risk than before by increasing tension with people who might otherwise be moderate that now see us with permanent bases in Iraq as occupiers. Even those now turning against Al Qaeda will eventually have to come to grips with our bases being on their soil. What will happen then?
