I can't imagine how much it might irk McCain to see such high level support for torture. Say what you want about his other policies, but he deserves a soapbox on this issue.

That's one of the few issues his stance on cause me to have some respect for McCain .... despite his association with notorious Kerry and Lieberman.

But then he supported waterboarding during his GOP nomination for president. I DID respect him on this, it was the ONE thing I respected him on....until then.

I can except that as an answer to not being an actual flip flop. What he believes may be a different story. I think he probably did this to look tough but still be able to be against torture.
