It begins.
In business, the military, and in your own personal life, you need a plan. And if you want to lead this great State, you need to have a plan from day one.
So here’s mine. I call it my Mission for Missouri.
Here on my website you can learn about my plan to make Missouri great again, to unleash a new era of creativity, innovation, jobs, and growth. You’ll learn about my vision for bringing about real change to our education system, to make sure that our children who graduate from our schools earn a world-class education — regardless of where they grow up. And you’ll learn about how we can bring true reform to Jefferson City, the kind of reform that can only come from a citizen governor, not a career politician.
In short, we need a smaller government that performs better. A government that stands up for the working men and women who make up Missouri’s middle class, and who have felt the tremendous squeeze of eight long years of “do-nothing” Governor Jay Nixon.
After my time in the military and running a successful business, I’m not done fighting. I believe I’m starting the most important mission of my life. I’m ready to embark upon a Mission for Missouri!
As I’ve traveled around our state, I’ve heard a common theme from Missouri families: middle class folks are working harder, taking home less money, and are sick and tired of watching a bloated, ineffective government allow our state to spiral downward, while real income for working families is flat.
When images on our TV screens show a state in turmoil, when middle class families continue to get squeezed and when politicians refuse to lead, it is easy to lose hope.
But if you believe, as I do, in the greatness of our state and the idea that we can do much better, I hope you’ll sign on to our Mission for Missouri.
To the people of Missouri, I say: better days are ahead. Together, with dedication, a plan for success and leadership that can only come from a citizen governor, we’ll break down the barriers to bring back jobs and get Missouri working again. I believe in less government — more freedom. “In God We Trust.”
In the Fight,
