John Brunner (and all other GOPers) lead Senator McCaskill in POLLS!

Also should be interesting to see who wins the Holyfield VS. Dokes battle for state rep.

for the same reason that Rand Paul has to introduce a bill stating that gov't cannot use drones to violate the 4th amendment. Just to build an even stronger case if we are challenged on that point.

secondly, Mike Carter is an attornery in STL (or Columbia, can't remember which) who is running for Lt. Gov. and is a big Ron Paul guy. posts in the fb group and has been active within the grassroots. Granted, he isn't going to win but if you are voting purely on principal then he would be by far the best.

I'm with you on Randles and i have no clue about stouffer or warren. Haven't really kept up with the downticket races.

Thanks for letting me know! I was having a hard time finding info about the candidates. It was a pity vote for Kinder anyway.

Mike Carter it is.

Here are a few Tweets I made re: SoS candidates:

Researching Aug 7th ballot (Sec. of State), visit @Scott_Rupp's website. Pics of him w John Bolton & Newt Gingrich. *Yikes* NEXT! #tcot

Next on the list, @shaneschoeller, proudly displays an endorsement from John Ashcroft…someone I'd avoid like the plague: #USAPATRIOTAct

.@billstouffer it is for Missouri Secretary of State. Stand up for the 9th and 10th amendments if you win! #tcot

I work with someone who worked for Stouffer at the Capitol, he's a state senator, says he's a good guy.

didn't read the entire thread but seeing another dem senator going down, to hopefully a person of Brunner's caliber, is clean.

Her PAC is already running ads against Brunner and calling his opponent the 'Most Conservative'!!

McCaskill is freaking out a little I think... Go Brunner

It's a shame Cynthia Davis is not on the ticket.. she's in the Constitution Party (got kicked out of the R party bascially)...

But Bill Randles should be on everyones list to vote for Gov... look up his YouTubes... reminds me of Paul

she is runnning on the (C) ticket IIRC and is probably the biggest 3rd party threat MO has seen in a while.

Though he might be the best option, I don't see Brunner as an automatic step for Ron Paul people. For example, his post dispatch blurb says"
What are the most important challenges facing the U.S. in foreign relations?
The global threat of another terrorist attack and a nuclear-armed Iran remain the most clear and present dangers to America’s security interests. The greatest threat to our national security, however, is our ever-increasing national debt. The U.S. cannot allow a nuclear-armed Iran to exist and must always work to ensure Iran does not obtain a nuclear weapon.

Filling in my sample ballot ... looks like Mike Carter, one of the Lt Governor candidates, is a RP guy.

John Brunner is by no means perfect. He has his flaws and may not be a "liberty candidate", but he will be a powerful ally in the senate. Here are some reasons to vote for him:

1) He has taken a firm position in support of auditing the fed.
2) He has been endorsed by two senators who support auditing the Pentagon.
3) He wants to end the war in Afghanistan.
4) He was featured in this article by Jack Hunter as a liberty candidate: http://www.southernavenger.com/uncategorized/liberty-candidates-on-the-rise/
5) His favorite book is "Liberty Defined" according to a Daily Pauler: http://www.dailypaul.com/206631/missouri-senate-race-rand-pauls-new-best-friend-john-brunner
6) Read more about him at YAL-PAC: http://www.yaliberty.org/pac/candidates/brunner (They interview all their candidates, so I suppose he answered correctly.)

His two opponents don't have very good records. Todd Akin supported the Patriot Act and the NDAA...rumors are the Steelman also supports these two things. VOTE JOHN BRUNNER!
