its all unnecessary imho eddie the borough councils can run the services like most of England. London politicians just like to have an extra layer of government, pay, perks etc. and a big shiny building that looks like a gherkin
Things such as TfL are better run by the GLA.
And 30 St. Mary Axe is privately owned. It was originally built for Swiss Re, a reinsurance company.
Well whatever the building is that houses the gla today I assure you they're ripping off taxpayers with whatever arrangement there is . The Tfl should ofcourse be privately ran not ran by some gang of politicians or the mayor
mother of 11 who has never worked
I love the title.
Because in someones head its possible that being a mother to 11 children isn't a full time occupation.
I prefer Warlord's old avatar.
I prefer Warlord's old avatar.
I know but ive got to stop with the character becuz it pisses too many off so I hear so im gonna be more serious from now on
Ohhhh...I think you meant the egg, not the gherkin.
City Hall:
![]()
Doesn't piss me off.
Yes and I suspect "city hall" cost a billion dollars. ANother SCAM for the taxpayer. They're welcome to it Eduardo,
Actually I was surprised to find out it only cost £43 million to build.
so what's all this the tube is best ran by the mayor eduardo? come on now. it's filthy, overcrowded, disgusting and not even fit for purpose also beholden to unions and a joke, expensive etc. Should be privatised once and for all.
I didn't say the tube is best run by the mayor, I said is run more efficient regionally instead of by each individual borough. Same can be said of other services such as garbage collection and policing.
Obviously the tube would be best run if privatized like MTR in Hong Kong.
policing and garbage can be done by boroughs this is how its done all over England eduardo.
A jobless mother-of-eleven was today told she will not be getting her palatial new taxpayer-funded home - because the £500,000 property doesn’t meet her needs.
A storm of protest had erupted over the six-bedroom property being specially built for Heather Frost, who also keeps a horse.
Frost, 37, who has never worked and whose children were fathered by four different men, was due to move into the house in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, at the end of this month.
A current neighbour, who refused to give his name, said: 'I'm gutted. I think everyone is.
'We were going to throw a street party when she finally moved away. She's been bragging to everyone how great her new house is.'
