Jimmy Carter 100 Years Old

Arguably, he gets the prize as being the least worst of the worst presidents in the last 60 years.

He'll most likely be the only president to get to that age. I thought he would go the way of Betty White and die two weeks before his birthday.

Happy Birthday Jimmy Carter. The only think I have against JC is his going along with Zbignew Brezinski's plan to arm radical Islamists in order draw the Soviet Union into a prolonged conflict in Afghanistan. But I guess creating Habitat for Humanity makes up for that.

Four years ago I was showing my daughter some historical presidential debates so she could see what it was supposed to be like, before we watched the shitshow that was Trump an Biden's debate.
One of them was Carter/Reagan in 1980.
It was a weird experience - knowing what I know now, and having no clue what the zeitgeist was in 1980 (I was six), going just by the debate we watched, I totally would have voted Carter.

The more I learn about him, the more I get the impression that he was a well-meaning person who was given a system that had only recently been unhinged from commodity money, at a point where it had already attracted a bunch of lampreys, and given a false mandate that he had to do something. And he did things, and he did things that some of those lampreys liked, but not enough of EXACTLY what they wanted, because he was using his judgment too.

I think he's gone down in history as being one of the worst probably only because he wasn't in synch with the parts of the deep state that were already in place. And I can't hold that against him.

One of his family members said he was going to vote for Harris *eyeroll*
After seeing the pictures and videos of his 100th birthday party, he doesn't even have the mental capacity to even sign anything with a pen let alone vote in any election.

Why is it the older I get Carter looks like a flawed genius and all around good guy compared to the other asshats that have occupied the POTUS SINCE 76’

Since Trump is revered among 'republicans' these days, I thought that it would be nice to mention that Jimmy Carter (D) turned 100 years old today.

Happy Birthday Jimmy!!!

Scott Adams, who did test at genius levels on the IQ test, voted for Jimmy Carter in in 1976.

Like you, he no longer votes, but for different reasons.

Jimmy Carter was such a bad President, he felt somewhat responsible for choosing such a horrendous candidate and decided he wasn't fit to make those kinds of important decisions.

However he does advocate for candidates, like Trump, for those who are willing to throw their hat in the ring.

Didn't Ron Paul vote excitedly for Reagan on his first run? I think he was less excited in 1984.

I’m sure the people of East Timor, by some estimates as many as a third of were wiped out bu Suharto’s genocidal invasion and occupation which Carter fully supported with arms and other aid, will be ecstatic that he’s lived so long.

That's probably because he has the longest post presidency of any president ever.

Since he votes Democrat, I'm sure he'll be voting for years and years to come.
