From NAGR:
"In his 16 years in Congress, Rep. Jordan has maintained a stellar voting record when it comes to opposing gun control.
In fact, during the 2017-2018 FIX NICS gun control fight, Jordan was one of only 7 House Members to vote pro-gun on the rule, and both omnibus votes.
That’s right, out of 435 Members, Rep. Jordan was one of only 7 to stand up to the FIX NICS gun registration.
Time and time again, when your gun rights were on the line, Jim Jordan has voted against the gun control agenda.
It’s no surprise that Jordan’s Speaker candidacy has been endorsed by NAGR members and .50 Caliber Award winners like Thomas Massie (R-KY-4) and Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY).
The next likely nominee who is being discussed is current House Majority Leader Steve Scalise. With McCarthy being ousted, Scalise is the likely next in line, at least in the opinion of Republican leadership.
Earlier this year, Scalise had the opportunity to take a pro-gun stand and use his power as Majority Leader to take up H.J. Res. 44, a pro-gun resolution to nullify the Biden-ATF ban on pistol braces.
With the effective date for the brace ban looming, Scalise did nothing.
That’s right when Biden’s ATF was coming after law-abiding gun owners, and Scalise had the power to fight back, he went into hiding.
And although he eventually scheduled the vote, which subsequently passed the House, Scalise’s staff had a temper tantrum because NAGR members had the audacity to ask Scalise to do his job.
In addition to being missing in action during the pistol brace fight, Scalise has repeatedly voted anti-gun versions of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), aka a military budget bill that were injected with gun control including “Red Flag” Gun Confiscation."
