Jim Demint Just Touted Ron Paul on Hannity (video added)

Yeah, I heard someone say they'd rather disagree with Paul on foreign policy then on domestic...because we LIVE IN the domestic part. They said it differently. But really, so many conservatives I know have problems with Newt and Romney on domestic issues. But all their foreign policies are different anyway. They get highly technical about who we're going to make our enemy next and what new mess we're going to get ourselves in that will cost us trillions more. I think the best thing Paul could say to make his point is, "We can't afford all these wars," like he has before. Sure, there are nut jobs in high positions in other countries, but right now we've got so many problems of our own we've got to focus on local stuff or we won't be around to worry about the foreign stuff anyway.
 
Jim Demint is a warmongering social conservative. Sure he pays lip service to the deficit, but otherwise he's a big "meh". He's like Rick Santorum on steroids.

The Ron Paul movement will not be co-opted as easily as the "fake" Tea Party was.

Bullshit. He's not anything like Santorum. Santorum voted against right to work laws. Santorum voted for Medicare Part D. Santorum is a Huckabee clone who's an advocate for big government in God's image.

wow.... the hand that feeds us.... Demint is handing us the closest thing he can to an endorsement and we are jumping on him cause "close ain't goo enough" or he said one or two accurate statements that don't paint Dr. Paul we would like.... he doesn't agree on his foreign policy.... thats true.
And Ron isn't a conservative as the term means now. He's something else and something better.
Demint is being honest and non dismissive... if he was a pundit on fox i would love him almost as much as the judge

Don't worry. It's the purists talking. The ones who want Rand to resign for voting for Iran sanctions despite being outvoted 99-0.
 
I'm beginning to think there is a CIA blackmail file on DeMint somewhere and he is having to tread carefully. There is no reason he shouldn't endorse someone but seems to me he doesn't want to endorse Romney and is afraid to endorse Ron Paul. Doesn't want to be Sanforded?

Does anyone here know what Bill Maher just said on his show tonight about Ron Paul? I think it might be his first show of the new season, so there is probably a crazy amount of people (probably liberals) watching.
 
Did Jim say anything close to as good about Newt, Santorum, or Romney? From what I gather, the answer is No.

The people like you are just as bad as the purists. You're weak and you give up before the fight even begins, opting to wait for the future when you have an easier candidate who you can back in a superficial manner without doing any work to get him elected.

More nonsense. I want all the purists to run with their so-called "principles" and they wouldn't even be able to get elected dog-catcher in their local town. Do you the think the neocon backed candidates told the voting electorate that they are going to open up a 40 year campaign in the Middle East that will cost in excess of 10 trillion dollars? No, they just adopted some vague conservative verbiage and smiled. Libertarian purists are still playing checkers, while their hated opponents have mastered 3 dimensional chess.
 
As a South Carolinian I hope Demint keeps praising the good Congressman, even go campaigning for him. ;) Now is not the time to be timid.
 
from SC and definitely not a fan.... i know one of his staffers and she is whats wrong with this country... I think she would work for Santorum as minister of information

but I speak the truth and know when i hear the truth.... the truth is a truthfull word about Ron Paul is welcome no matter who it comes from....
