jim bunning holds the floor "tough sh--!"

In an unusual display in the normally sleepy chamber, Bunning – without the support of GOP leadership – has blocked efforts to quickly approve a series of extensions to measures that would otherwise expire Sunday, including unemployment insurance and the Cobra program that allows people who lose their health benefits to continue getting coverage

.....

On the floor Thursday, Bunning complained about how the measures aren’t adequately paid for.

He should get a medal of honor for this.

You didn't copy the BEST part!
Rockefeller also noted that Bunning’s objection could turn off televisions for more than 1 million households, since the package has provisions dealing with the switch to digital TV.

Oh Noes! We can't let people lose their brainwashing devices!

I wish Jim Bunning was a little younger and people didn't think he was crazy, because he is really one of the best, if not the best Senator we have.

I bet you won't hear any of the "conservative" talk media talk about this today.

Yup if this is about unemployment extensions. Why is there damn money for TV in it? Out of work mofos shouldn't have tv, it gives them an excuse to sit at home and not look for work.

Yeah, the news is all over this. This is awesome. The news will probably want to get a comment from rand campaign on their thoughts on this.

New Article of this where bunning alludes to Rand and they talk about him.

I feel sorry for the people in Kentucky that live in East Kentucky that may lose their satellite home viewer act for a day or two because they'll miss all those campaign commercials that are going on, and I know how they desperately want to watch those," he said.

Bunning again mentioned the Senate campaign going on without him later in the speech.

"If you think the tea party people are crazy, get them involved in your Senate race. Or get them against you when you're running," he said.

A new favorite in the Kentucky Republican Senate primary is Rand Paul, the son of Libertarian Republican Ron Paul, R-Texas.
