Why doesn't he just run for the LP nomination? They will give him ballot access in all 50 states. He named that as the reason why he can't run.

the idea is to break the party system but, if you can't beat 'em join 'em right?

and then change the system afterwards of course.

but yea, i would definitely like to see this happen, i am anxiously awaiting where the fight for freedom is goign to happen next

Let's get Paul/Ventura ballot access!

That would be a great ticket as long as Jesse Ventura's Campaign Management Staff is utilized for the Presidential Campaign, instead of the "What We All Know"...

I say he runs for senate against Al Franken and Norm Coleman (whom he beat in the gubernatorial race in '98)...

Why doesn't Ventura bring up how Ron Paul runs on everything he supports and is treated so unfairly by the media?

Maybe because he wants to talk about his own book and his own ideas?? Must the universe center around Ron Paul? I support Ron Paul because he supports freedom, not the other way around. If Ventura is pushing freedom, I support him too.

good question

Why doesn't Ventura bring up how Ron Paul runs on everything he supports and is treated so unfairly by the media?

I am sensing that there's something going on with a clever plot. I think Jesse's trying to get media's attention as much as possible. If he brings Ron Paul's name then all of sudden the media would completely ignore him.

I think his intention to be on spotlights as often is to spread the revolution and freedom message then many people will eventually realize and connect him to Ron Paul. At the end, he'd declare his strong supports for Ron Paul or be a Vice President? We have 5-6 months to Republic National Convention. We have plentiful times.

I hope he runs for senate, he beat the republican incumbent once in the governer race. We need a guy like him in the senate.

Ventura and Barr need to get serious. What they are trying to do Dr. Ron Paul has already done. People who care deeply about the issues they bring up have been mobilized. If they want some real support they have to publically give praise and support for Dr. Paul. Atleast acknowledge Paul has been bringing those issues up. Everytime they are on national TV and dump on the parties but do not exclude Dr. Paul they are missing huge opportunities. I understand the hesitation because of the negative image of Paul. But each man could put out a youtube video laying out the opinions of Dr. Paul. Those videos would get hundreds of thousands of views, then maybe alot of Paul supporters will organize for them.
Does that sound right to anybody?

He pretty much did on Larry King. He said he agrees with Ron Paul and then quoted him.

Even more than that... when Larry asked him if he would be Ron Paul's Vice President, he said that Ron Paul might be his Vice President. It was said half-jokingly but it's still a lot more than I would have expected.

PaulVentura would be my personal dream team and despite their difference on issues such as immigration and religion I don't think they're really that far apart as they are both in favor of freedom. And Ventura, with his colorful history, can say things that Ron never could.

Bob Barr kinda scares me. I like him. I think he's a great politician, but if we were worried about Dr. Paul's charisma... I mean, Bob Barr would be a wall-fly. His ideal running mate would be Borat.

I like Ventura. I could definitely go for a Barr/Ventura Ventura/Barr ticket. In fact, they're so opposite, they could REALLY benefit each other. and Dr. Paul can start the congressional coalition!!

I don't think Ron should run 3rd party. I had been advocating it, but I believe he ought to stay in congress, if we can't still win the nomination. Whoever he throws his support behind will get his votes. He has a stronger endorsement than any other person in us politics right now. If we are true libertarians, we need to start focusing on congress. Having Paul move from the house to the white house is great symbolism. But having Barr/Ventura in the white house and Paul in congress is a recipe for change!
