Jesse Ventura to Announce Run for Senate on Monday (or not)

Jesse kind of did this on his first appearance on LKL back in April. I remember CNN billing the show as, "Will He or Won't He", talking about whether he would run for President. I could be wrong, but I believe he declared he wasn't going to run for POTUS, on that LKL show.
I think that was more or less a promo from CNN. CNN got the idea he might be running for POTUS because of the fictional election in Jesse's book.Jesse went on the show to pretty much promote his book.

Countdown 3:25 until we find out if he's runnin

Who would win the Minnesota Senate race?

Al Franken 19% 100
Jesse Ventura 66% 350
Norm Coleman 16% 84

Total Votes: 534

66%!!

His skepticism about 9/11 and how the government may be covering up their involvement in the collapse of the World Trade Center towers slightly pushes me away. I do still support him and agree with nearly all of his points. With that said, I hope he not only runs but wins. I want to see Coleman knocked out of the Senate.

Tells me he still has 2 brain cells to rub together and the balls to talk about it :). RUN Jesse RUN!!!!

Good point. This appearance seems to be strictly an announcement whether or not he is running, as most know tomorrow is the deadline. To me, it would seem he would only go on tonight to announce he's running, but Jesse is rather unpredictable, so I'm not sure.

I don't agree with everything he says, but I really, really hope he runs.

Are you serious??? Do you realize the fundamental feature behind liberty is a healthy skepticism to all government action. Looking at the facts surrounding 9/11, it just makes no sense that you could come away without any doubts on how the government conducted itself. At least take great pride in that a man can voice such doubts without torpedoing his career. I mean, seriously, dont you realize the other candidates attempt to artificially manipulate your perception of them. That is what should push you away. I say, THANK GOD the man is a skeptic, and has NO FEAR of the political ramifications. That is what I want in a leader.

I'm not convinced at all that 9/11 was an inside job. And Ventura gives a pretty weak arguement for it.

When has he argued 9/11 was an inside job? Is it not possible to question the government account without being a "truther"?

He has done it on a few interviews and clearly leaned to the truther side.

"Leaned" to the truther side? Now what does that mean? I've heard him state his questions and skepticism for the government account, but nowhere have I EVER heard him turn those questions into a clear conclusion. I think you should give room for people to position their own selves in the spectrum of views on 9/11. You dont have to define Ventura into your own neatly established categories.

yeah - in that interview he asks "Why is it when you ask questions you are attacked?" and his response to if the gov. had knowledge of the attack was "I don't know"

But by saying he doesn't buy into certain things like jet fuel burning hot enough, how could 3 buildings come down from 2 planes, how could they fall at the rate of gravity...etc etc...

That is definitely siding with the truthers. It will hurt him. He should've kept these things to himself until after he could've won.

Those comments will help him. Ron Paul lost out because he was afraid to take the bold steps Ventura is regarding the truth about our government. Jesse read 16 books about what really happened on 9/11 so he is on sound footing. Paul topped out at around 10%. Ventura will do far better than that and might be the favorite to win. He already beat Coleman before and Franken is a joke.

Literally in one minute, Jesse will say if he is running or not.
CNN after this break
