Ventura isn't a libertarian fraud. He is just uneducated in economic manners. He's a honest guy, but America doesn't just need a honest and forthright guy right now, America needs a SMART and honest guy.

Come 2012, better leaders need to take center stage. America can do better than Jesse. But I still think he is independent and won't fall victim to special interests.

It's strange to me that Ventura is so much in line with Ron Paul's goals and yet this forum hates his guts. I understand now why in so many interviews he wouldn't want to run for higher office.


I think Spike is right though. I've heard even Ventura himself say he isn't an economics expert and does rely on keeping experts on his staff who have knowledge of the many details of economics. The important thing though is not letting "Experts" tell the governor what to do. It's a team effort. The facts are laid down on the table and the governor makes the final say on those facts.

Sometimes I do think an honest person who has more Wisdom then just raw knowledge can lead well. Book smarts helps but that isn't everything.
