Jesse Ventura has an entire chapter on RON PAUL in his new book

I like his suggestion that we remove party affiliation from the ballot.
IMO, a great idea. People tend to vote for their party without regard for the candidate that represents the party. They never bother to educate themselves; it's just a knee-jerk reaction...they either vote Democrat or GOP because they always have (and their Daddy, and their Daddy's Daddy before them). Ugh.

I was a little dissapointed in the book. Sure, it criticized both parties, but seemingly from a liberal point of view in most cases.

Actually it's true that libertarians support people forming unions, but they ardently oppose unions getting special treatment from government.

So true.... because unions now are more corporate run and affiliated, that has political leverage with their own rights as government lobbyist.... the top directive managements or executives are far remove from the grassroot bottom advocators of workers rights and protections from their pyramid structure of chain of commands....

That is why the union organization structure is far out of date to the present needs and requirement of workers just like politics with same fallacy that leads to abuse and crimes...

If we need bullet trains then let the market provide them. i live in a railroad town hub... And know a lot of people that work for UP. The rails in this country are one of the most regulated industries we have.

Are lack of pullet trains has nothing to do with the lack of government planning and everything to do with "GOVERNMENT PLANING"

Simply having the government take from me to build bullet trains will not improve anything, it will only be less of a wast then most of the investments they make.

And who is anyone to decide that what this country needs more than anything at all is bullet trains. Why not get the F&*K out of the way and let the people decide for themselfs what it is they need?

The point being demonstrated is that the US government's past and present administrators have priorities to put their crony corporations as the beneficial and majority receivers of the tax payers money, rather than benefiting the tax payers themselves....

there's also the intentional suppression of advancing or on keep up-dating the public transportation which US did in the early wealth creation of America then all sudden left behind in the 70s to push more Americans to rely deeply into the petroleum economy because of their American buying power (its a scam)..... example: there's a more efficient, cheaper and far effective medicine which the big pharma are preventing to go out of the market in order to keep selling more profitable long term treatment and kept the propaganda of the lies of making sure no one sees the light of the more better medicine regardless of the consequence their buyers suffers....

how they approach with regards to public transportation is up to the consensus public and the details of whether privatize or state fund are best discuss with science/technology/economics, financial planners, etc that goes through anti-corruption and ethics/morale which best serve the public who are the tax payers....

Why not get the F&*K out of the way and let the people decide for themselfs what it is they need?

PS: the trains were discuss by Jesse Ventura in reference to the state of the reality of the American public and how they do not have the decision to decide for themselves...

^^ But the chapter on Ron was great, of course ;)

Could you give us a little teaser about the chapter, please? Was it his thoughts on Ron Paul? Or on his ideas? Or on stories where they hung out? Or something else entirely?

But Jessie is way too hung up on people having an R or D after there names. I heard him say once he would not vote for Ron Paul because he has an R after his name. He just does not get that Ron would be as popular and known as Gary Johnson if he had an L after his name.

Spoken like someone who has never actually tried to run a business. Sigh.

What if his insurance caps at $2 million, and she gets awarded $100 million by a sympathetic Florida jury? How about the rest of the points?

I have an internet friend who moved here from Paraguay or Uraguay. She left, because the courts were coming after her for money a distant in-law relative owed. That's how their legal system is set up. If there is a family line between you and a debtor, they can and will come after you. In her case, she had never met this relative - he was actually her husband's cousin something-removed. But she is a teacher, has a good income, and had absolutely no protection from the actions of family she didn't know existed.

What a great plan! The CEO, responsible for millions of job, is personally liable for the actions of each and every one of his employees. No reason to think that corporations would leave the country over that.

Much wisdom to the theorists...

I like the title, because it's true.
However, I completely disagree with Ventura. He says there should be more bipartisanship so the government could get things done. Get things done? This is exactly what we DON'T want. Ron Paul would agree with me on this. This is why Jesse just doesn't get it and I will never support him.

What does Jesse want to get done??? That's a scary question.

I've considered buying this book. But, if it's as some people have commented, that it's from a fairly liberal point of view, I just don't care enough to buy it.

Ventura is one of those guys that we need to keep at arms length in public, but, invite him to sit next to us at dinner every once and a while.

I think he is and always will be a left leaning guy. But, as long as he brings attention and keeps attention on issues such as the TSA, I'm fine with him.

I'm sure, but if the kid's parents had money, an enterprising lawyer might indeed be able to assert that they bore some responsibility for putting such a dangerous weapon in the hands of a criminal. (Which is how the jury would hear it.) That's just speculation though. A lawyer could well come in here and explain why that couldn't happen, and I wouldn't be surprised.

Hopefully such a case would get squelched on summary judgement and never get to a jury. If it got to a jury I would want jurors who had teenage kids. I'd ask the jurors "Have you ever given a cell phone, computer, car, or bbgun as a present? Do you realize that any of those things in the wrong hands could cause mayhem? Would you want to be on the hook for that"?

But isn't that technically just another form of the controversial limited liability protection that a corporate structure offers?

(And I meant to say he wasn't anti-corporation. I really should proof-read before I hit enter)

In a limited partnership at least 1 person is 100% liable for all debts accrued by the company. That's the difference. So the real question is, should Elwar be able to set up an entity where he creates a company and his personal assets are not liable for the mess he created?

Edit: And of course if the corporation was created merely as a sham to protect Elwar's assets, then a good lawyer can "pierce the corporate veil" and go after them anyway.

Here's todays Video interview of Jesse by the Political Scumbags at ABC NEWS. Remember their Elitist Manhattan/Washington director AMY WALTER, had Ron Paul censored from the GOP race for over 5 months on THIS WEEK and other shows...

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/power-p...xkZXN0aW5hdGlvbjIwMTIEcHQDc2VjdGlvbnM-;_ylv=3

TPTB and their propagandists at Corporate Media do what they can to destroy a Paul/Libert/Freedom movement. What Jesse doesn't realize in this interview, ABC & AMY are only airing this because they have done the research to fracture the right, so the current Money Master's PUPPET can keep their game going.

Peel away the layers of the onion, and see how corporate media are the accomplices to everything government.

PS: Remember, anything you read politically, is mostly from the joint agreement between ABC(Capitol Cities Corp) and Yahoo. So you are dealing with highly calculated politics of AMY WALTER and company.
