Jerry Doyle asked, "Ron Paul supporters, what do you call yourselves?"

Repaulicrats!

Liberpaulitarians!

The Nuclear Paulibombs!

The BOSS-meisters!

The Blowback Contras!

The Constitutionalists!

The Guardians of Freedom!

A Freedom Jihad Against Tyranny!

The Honorable Knights of Liberty!

I've heard Ron speak of the Remnant.

I sent him an e-mail and gave my loose cliffs notes translation of how I interpret it.

Subject: What to call the Ron Paul Movement.

Listened to your reaction to all those e-mails thanking you for supporting Paul. And I'll just say "thank you" as well.

You were asking what the movement would like to be called. I can't speak for everyone but I thought you might find the concept of "The Remnant" as interesting as I have.

I have always loved Albert Jay Nock's libertarian translation of "The Remnant". And I'm not even that religious. This link and the links within the article will describe it more.

http://www.yaliberty.org/posts/ron-paul-and-the-remnant

It's all about The Remnant versus the masses. We exist but don't know each other exists. We encounter each other by accident and grow stronger together. We know something is wrong and after society collapses it is our responsibility to rebuild it.

I'm sure you have watched The Matrix series of movies. One can almost equate the struggle of The Remnant vs the masses as being similar to Humanity vs the machines. Once you unplug and are free from the matrix, you have a fighting chance.

I believe many Ron Paul supporters are aware of this concept but don't have a name for it. Read that link above and I'd love to hear your thoughts. Maybe even talking about it a bit on-air for more to hear.

Thanks for your time and keep fighting the good fight.

EDIT: It does come across as a bit egotistical of course. But when one applies a strong understanding of economics to predict collapses years in advance before they occur, you can't help but feel like a modern day "Isaiah" as Ron Paul seems to imply for himself and those of us waking up to what is going on.

I really like the Remnant and what it stands for. I really like it. But I also think the words itself sounds kind of cultish since many do not immediately understand it's meaning. So I say the "liberty Movement"...but if for any reason people do understand the remnant then I am all for it.

I never knew Jerry Doyle had a talkshow - I only knew him as Mr Garibaldi on the Babylon 5 Sci-Fi TV series. I love it that he's one of us now :)

I'm an individual.

One who doesn't belong in groups.

When you put me in a group, I'm going to focus on why I don't belong in it, because your only reason for doing that is to create divisions.

When you treat me like an individual, with individual, reasoned opinions, you have no stereotype brick wall to hide behind.

People only do this because they are afraid. Classify lines of reasoning, sure. Classify systems of thought, sure.
Stop classifying people.

I like how Rand says it - Constitutional Conservative.
Right now Ron Paul is the one we support.
Believe me, there will be many more!
