Yes, that was hilariousWork on that dive, Jeff. Bump!
What do you mean? Are they going to freeze out the Mises and LRC people?
Yes, that was hilarious
What do you mean?
Well, i sense there's some animosity from him toward Mises. I know personally he doesn't feel they've been bitcoin-friendly enough. But I think it's more than that. I know Mises couldn't match the the boatload of money Agora offered him to leaves Mises--I hope it has nothing to do with that. But in watching that video at the point they show the faces of the people (just a sample, I know) they'll be promoting, there wasn't a single one from the Mises Institute. No David Gordon, Bob Murphy, Tom Woods, Tom Dilorenzo... FFS.
I doubt there's animosity considering how similar the messages are. It just appears that the Mises people are not directly involved in the project. I wouldn't read into it as anything more.

I don't know enough to speculate one way or the other. Has anyone asked Jeff Tucker himself about this? It could be just that he's publishing elsewhere, just because.Maybe it's not an institutional rift, but a personal one?
Tucker has been really close to Stephan Kinsella lately, doing a collaborative podcast from time to time. I was going to say that Kinsella was still friendly with the Mises Institute, but after some research, I'm not so sure.
Kinsella's last publication on Mises.org was from September 2011.
Kinsella's homepage does not include any reference to the Mises Institute, nor does his blogroll include the "Circle Bastiat" blog that MI hosts.
Tucker's last MI post, "In Praise of Credit Checks," was from almost exactly the same time frame, October 2011.
There indeed seems to have been a rather strict break-up. Can you think of others that were active on mises.org that haven't been there for 2 years? Was it an ideological split, a "direction of the organization" split, or just a conflict of personalities?
Also, Kinsella's last publication on LRC was from April, 2011, which isn't that telling because he only had one every couple of years. More surprising is that Tucker has NEVER had an article on LRC (or equally surprising/appalling, has had his entries scrubbed).
There's nary a mention of Tucker on Tom Woods' site, save for when he was still with mises.org; and Kinsella has just one mention since the end of 2011, though it is relatively positive (introducing Kinsella's podcast).
Bob Murphy has an interview with Tucker (with LFB) on his page, from March 2013, and mentions Tucker in a couple of times in "potpourri" posts, at least acknowledging that Murphy still follows him. Murphy also has a good number of things from Kinsella.
Maybe it's not an institutional rift, but a personal one?
Bob is on the page if you scroll down.
Right under Kinsella.

Overall, the situation is perplexing.
Invitation to Jeffrey Tucker's Pre-launch Online Seminar: "How to Live Free in an Unfree World"
Maybe the Lew crew and Mises don't want to be involved, as they have a good thing going.
