Jeb Bush Increased Spending 31.9% while Governor of Florida

Jeb Bush was the only Republican at that time to be re-elected as Governor in Florida. Also had the highest approval rating of any Governor at that time at the end of his career.

Not a Jeb fan, but he was a good Governor when he was here. Compared to others we have had like Bob Graham, Charlie Crist or Rick Scott.

Nope, not a Jeb endorsement. He would not get my vote for POTUS.

That is all.

A good Governor grows the government in your opinion?

Far be it for me to defend J.E.B. but those numbers look like they're lower than the actual rate of inflation.

I think we're safer sticking with hammering him for having a treasonous political agenda

if your growing the economy, you can expect there to be an increase of government spending. Infrastructure improvement is a good thing if it is for fulfilling a clear economic demand, not like in South Carolina where we badly need infrastructure spending but they send it to cronies to build road that have no need, and end up spending it all on feasibility studies before cancelling it. I actually voted for a 1% 5 year county sales tax to cover roads for our county because the state cannot be trusted with the funds. Yes, I am against tax increases, but our roads are in terrible condition and cannot support anymore growth in our area. it was soundly defeated, then two months later when Christmas shopping hapend and everyone went shopping and were stuck in traffic for hours to get to the main shopping area, alot of people regretted voting against it.

Inflation was 25% so that's actually not bad.

Officially, right? Actual monetary inflation over that period (without Fed juju altering the number) runs closer to 9%. Those numbers actually lend credibility to J.E.B. as a "small government" governor.

Yes, based on CPI numbers

As to monetary inflation, M1 increased by 45% from 2000 to 2008, where do you get the 9% from?
