“I would have [authorized the invasion], and so would have Hillary Clinton, just to remind everybody. And so would almost everybody that was confronted with the intelligence they got,” Bush told Fox News' Megyn Kelly in an interview scheduled to air Monday.

But he acknowledged that the "intelligence that everybody saw, that the world saw, was faulty," adding that after the invasion, the U.S. ought to have focused on securing and stabilizing Iraq in order to shield its people from sectarian violence.

“By the way, guess who thinks that those mistakes took place as well? George W. Bush. Yes, I mean, so just for the news flash to the world, if they’re trying to find places where there’s big space between me and my brother, this might not be one of those," Jeb Bush said.

I don't think there are places where there are big spaces between Jeb and George W., they sound like exactly the same guy to me, and if the GOP thinks running the same guy will yield them a different result, they will get Hillary Clinton or whoever manages to upset her in the Democratic primary as the next president.

Justin Raimondo has summed up the Republican predicament in 2016:

"...This is a nearly insurmountable barrier for the War Party – and any presidential wannabe who plans on running as their chosen candidate. Sure, the warmongers will shower him with plenty of moolah and take out ads attacking the alleged "isolationism" of Paul, but the problem is they have to reverse a verdict that’s already been handed down by the court of public opinion: Iraq was a disaster, and going back there will only exacerbate the failure. And whose failure is it? Although both parties were complicit in dragging us into that quagmire, the Republicans are taking the lion’s share of the blame because the war defined the Bush era.

Does the GOP want to be stuck with that albatross hung around their necks forever? That will ensure their permanent status as a rapidly-shrinking minority party – which is just what the GOP Establishment is supposedly trying to prevent. So the party’s "grandees" are faced with a seemingly insoluble contradiction: they insist they are all about picking a "winner," but refuse to dump their losing obsession with maintaining and expanding our foreign policy of global meddling."

I think we all now know what Jeb Bush is about now... Didn't know much about him prior to the last few days.

And Jeb is supposedly the bright one. DUH!

I actually liked GWB more than Clinton/Bush Sr./Obama. He had a hard time lying. That's a good thing. He was also pretty funny. I could see myself hanging out with him more than the other three.

Functionally they were all the same. But character-wise I prefer Dubya. Jeb I don't like. He's as good a liar as the others.

You feel that way about W because he has charisma. Jeb has none. Boring as hell. But very machiavellian.

What!? Every time he opened his mouth was some sort of statist fear mongering BS.

Maybe because he was constantly tripping over his words you thought he had a hard time lying, but he didn't, he is just an imbecile.

That guy was taught and advised by the best liar.

...and Jeb takes a swig. He's done.

I didn't say he wasn't a willing liar, just a bad one. Being an imbecile probably had a lot to do with that.

We're required to love all God's creatures. I'm just saying as politicians go, he was a little easier for me.

My bad. 'Hard time lying' sounds like he had some kind of moral objection to deceiving billions...

.....um......which is exactly what they're trying to get. No difference to TPTB if its Bush or Clinton.
