January 10th -- A day for COMMON SENSE !

I like the idea of 100,000 new donors and 100,000 old donors each giving 10 dollars for a total goal of 2 million. Or the number could be 17.76, i originally planned on donating 100 dollars for the tea party but at the last minute saw a suggestion of adding 17.76 to every donation and i thought it was a terrific idea.
 
i just think that the grassroots has done enough in terms of supplying bullets now we need to do our part and fight the battle in terms of canvasing and getting more voters... if RON has a strong showing in the primaries we will make sure he has the ammo to kill hillary next year... but for now people are either maxed out... or are waiting for Ron Paul to become president so they can make more money
 
We could put together a pamphlet full of Ron Paul quotes - Common Sense quotes of course. We could post it as a pdf so everyone could print their own and distribute their own.

No one may know what was in the historic Common Sense document, but most people know that it was a widely distributed document inciting a revolution. It's a great tie-in. Think of the headlines...
 
You know I was one of the people who figured it was better NOT to have anymore moneybombs.. But you know.. I really LOVE this idea.. Thomas Paine.. Common Sense.. Good stuff... Even if its a mini bomb like $50 or $17.76.. It helps people like me who procrastinate but because of the moneybombs I do donate where If there was no moneybomb i would always be getting around to it

But I'm not totally against the idea. We just need to remember to CANVASS and inform people. Money can only do so much: it's the votes that really count.

To my mind, the WHOLE point is to get BOOTS on the GROUND in a "nation-wide" effort doing door-to-door campaigning and/or canvassing.

Similar to the TeaParty+TWO thing I *tried* to get going for Dec 16th.

Good Ideam but the Next Money Bomb is Set for December 31st

The New Years Eve Money Bomb is the next Big Money Bomb and is already established at www.donate2008.org. Banners are starting to appear on the Top Ron Paul Websites this week.

But, as far as I am concerned the more the better, especially for our brand new RP Supporters just coming on board after TeaParty 07. Your date is a good one!!
 
as much as I dont really like the idea of another money bomb, you guys gotta realize that Ron Paul will need the money in a month or two. Yes we can do ther things, but we still need to keep the money flowing for him.

Besides, it seems like we are following a Revolution theme. It gets people motivated. And honestly, its a history lesson. I didnt know very much about the american revolution until we started doing these things.

Even if its only a few million at a time, its still good to have these days.

And I like this idea.

What the media (and many people within our groups) do NOT seem to realize is that Trevor Lyman did NOT make Nov5th a success. (Trevor realizes this though... good, humble and WISE man that he is!)

The MARKET (aka the "Ron Paul Nation" of grassroots supporters) actually chose to support and promote the Nov5th date AND the concept of the single-day money-bomb...

The GRASSROOTS in the same way "accepted" the TeaParty date (and to a smaller extent, the now-forgotten "Rudy's Reading List") -- yet many also backed off and/or donated earlier because of Jon Bydlak's request for immediate funds.

In the same way, the GRASSROOTS will CHOOSE which is the NEXT such nationwide effort (if there actually IS one).

Via my company (which runs the InfiniteRonPaul website -- I have secured the domains for both DayOfCommonSense and DayForCommonSense with a kickoff date of Jan 10th 2008 --the anniversary of the first publication of Common Sense in 1776.

I appreciate that the concept for this has been embraced and supported on this thread (many thanks!) and numerous ideas have been "advanced" and I think this forum can help hash-out things to promote and use as resources on that date and forward -- to get things going ASAP.

BTW, My original intention was just to grab and HOLD those domains... but since Trevor/Vijay have decided to go a different direction (mistakenly choosing MLK day, which IMHO may "backfire" and possibly offend minorities) and <em>instead, since I have more than enough bandwidth, server space, database room, programming and even video skills (see InfiniteRonPaul website and the TeaParty+TWO page), I will be building a basic website ASAP -- like TOMORROW Dec 20th (it would have been sooner, but I had other work and a family funeral today, and a statewide Meetup Conf Call to host tonight) -- to promote BOTH a MAJOR BOOTS ON THE GROUND effort, and a "mini-money-bomb" and will welcome and help filter and promote OTHER people's work towards promoting and supporting this.

In the end, I believe it will (as always) be up to the GRASSROOTS to decide WHICH next nationwide "project" (if any) they want to embrace and support.

So if you LIKE the "CommonSense" day of January 10th, over MLK day, book mark the threads and links above, because YOU will be critical to whether it succeeds or not.

I think its going to take a certain person with abilities to create this "pamphlet" of Ron Paul quotes/information and to post it on one of these forums in a PDF document. Hopefully this document will get circulated around the net and meetup groups across the country will print them out and put them in mailboxes/hand them out on January 10th. This is a great alternative to a moneybomb!
