Jan 15, 2024: FOX finally admits Ron Paul won Iowa’s 2012 Caucus

Last night on FOX news…

It was the weirdest thing! I had FOX news on in the background and they were doing a recap of past Iowa caucuses and actually admitted that Ron Paul won it 2012! This was done so quickly, you’d have missed it if you blinked. In fact I did miss it, but I have DVR so was able to reverse back to it.

In the middle of this long piece, they were talking about the Iowa 2012 caucuses and showed a snippet of Charles Krauthammer saying something like that Paul didn’t even show up in the polls (Yeah, we remember how that worked!)

Then, they said that initially Romney was reported as the winner - but then it was reported that there had been an error and Santorum won. (Sure, I remember - It was a Ron Paul supporter who reported an error in the vote counting and they were forced to admit Romney hadn’t won - but they were not ready to admit that Ron Paul had - so they fudged numbers to make Santorum the “winner”.)

Finally, Ron Paul’s image flashed on the screen for a split second and Fox news admitted that, in the end, it was Ron Paul who won the most delegates.

But back in 2012, if my memory serves, it was months before this was publicly and quietly admitted, and no one but us paid attention, because it was so far in the past already. [Edit: Actually this process was only completed months later. Caucus states are so confusing!] So they robbed Ron Paul of this important momentum that could’ve propelled him much, much further.

Here is an article from Lew Rockwell about it:
How Ron Paul “Lost” The Iowas Caucus, But Won Iowa in 2012 (March 5,2020)

One more thing about Iowa:

I will NEVER forget the look on Rand Paul’s face as he stood onstage alongside Ron, after the Ames Straw Poll. Michelle-the-phony Bachman was being reported as the winner. Ron remained upbeat as he stated that he’d come in third... [edit] or was it second?... and that that was "nothing to sneeze at". But Wow, Rand’s smoldering expression told a whole different story! If I were ever to meet Rand Paul in person, the first question I’d want to ask him is what was going through his head that night?!

After that, Iowa cancelled the very popular, highly-covered Ames Straw poll forever, and I think it’s because they were afraid of the Pauls - both Ron and Rand.

It's strange how elections have been privatized, in a bad way.

These entities, RNC DNC, claim that they can arbitrarily pick whichever candidate they want.

IIRC, delegates are elected in a separate process at the state GOP convention, and that was when Ron Paul ended up with the most delegates...

Ron Paul Wins 21 of 25 Delegates Elected in Iowa
Ron Paul Wins Iowa
Long-term strategy pays off this weekend as Dr. Paul wins 21 of 25 delegates elected in the nation’s most politically important state

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul has won a significant majority of Iowa’s Republican delegates to the national convention in Tampa.

Dr. Paul won 10 of 13 delegates elected at today’s state convention in addition to having won 11 of 12 delegates elected at last night’s district conventions, for a weekend total of 21 of 25 contestable delegates, all unbound.

Dr. Paul’s victory in the Hawkeye State affirms his delegate-attainment strategy and it has the added benefit of having occurred in the first-in-nation voting state, also a swing state.

“We thank the many Iowa Republican activists for working tirelessly toward this meaningful victory, in particular the work they performed in the service of constitutional government and personal liberty. This win is a real validation for our campaign and its many supporters in Iowa and across our great nation,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton.

“We look forward to bringing the Ron Paul delegation to Tampa and to making a significant, positive contribution to the 2012 Republican Party Platform,” added Mr. Benton.

I've met Rand in person and spoken with him, at the 2007 Boston Tea Party, mostly.

Ron always came off to me as genial, friendly, never wishing to make a fuss.

Rand, on the other hand, impressed me as being very serious, not someone you would want to trifle with, and took insults and slurs against his dad personally.

So, you must've been at Faneuil Hall that day? Historic!
