Dobson backs Grayson

Dr. James Dobson has endorsed Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson in the GOP Senate primary there, Grayson’s campaign announced this morning.

Maybe even more so than in neighboring Indiana, where the Focus on the Family founder endorsed former Sen. Dan Coats (R-Ind.), Dobson’s backing could really mean something in Kentucky.

Grayson continues to run behind Rand Paul, but he hopes recent endorsements from Dobson and retiring Sen. Jim Bunning (R-Ky.) can help him pick off some of Paul’s voters.

The author apparently doesn't know who Bunning endorsed.

As Jack Hunter calls them - retread Republicans. Grayson is capturing the Bush wing of the party. Congratulations.

Trey probably told Dobson that Rand was pro-choice. Or that he's anti-Israel. Isn't he pretty typically neo-con?

These last few weeks is the time I've always been nervous about, timing is everything and as much as it pains me to state this, the opposition of neo/social cons is smart politically speaking, while we are like angry cats being herded, everyone of them will get behind that ONE candidate, until we realize the power of a voting bloc and do the same, we'll win some but we'll never have the clout that liberals, neo cons and other factions has.

Wow, I just lost any respect for Dr. Dobson.
Assuming in the first place that his endorsement of Grayson is true (this link isn't to be trusted obviously). I lost respect for him when he endorsed McCain after saying he never would. This guy's word means nothing because he destroyed his own credibility. Honest Christians should be embarrassed to have this guy considered a "leader", I know I am.

Didn't anyone notice the little asterisk after Dobson's endorsement?

*This endorsement paid for by the Republican National Committee

Okay, I'm joking..... well, sort of.... there wasn't really an asterisk. But I wonder....

Reminds me of a song I know:

"Hey Brother Christian with your high and mighty errand,
Your actions speak so loud, I can't hear a word you're saying.
"

:(:(:(:(

This guy represents Kentucky Christians just like John McCain represents conservatives within the Republican Party

I am not going to rail against Jim Dobson. In the past I've been both a listener and supporter of his. It is my belief based upon a couple phone calls I just made that his endorsement came about because Kentucky Right to Life endorsed Tr**. There are Family Organizations including Pregnancy Care Centers that have employees that support Rand as much if not more than Tr** in my opinion. Jim Dobson has resigned/retired from Focus on the Family so he is endorsing as a private citizen (assuming that endorsement is true). I do believe his endorsement can have a lot of sway w Conservatives who have not done their homework. I was told that Dobson or at least his new organization can be contacted at www.myfamilytalk.com and that you can email at [email protected] If you care to try to contact him pleeeeease communicate in a civil manner and tell him of Rand's high pro-life score, how he refused to do abortions in Med School, etc.

I cannot believe that the religious right is perennially conned by the neocons. They vote for military death and destruction world wide to curry favor from the Feds on abortion. Small price for the neocons to pay for their imperialism.
