Jack Hunter: RON PAUL IS BECOMING SOMETHING MORE IMPORTANT THAN PRESIDENT

If Rand Paul endorsing killed momentum.... there was no momentum.

that's just dumb; there was energy (admittedly false) in the illusion of a legacy that could survive Ron Paul's individual candidacy in the form of his son, and that energy had to be swallowed and transformed into an unpleasant knot in the stomach.

Placing hope in men over message is insane. It's why I can be critical of Ron. I don't believe he has all the right answers and makes mistakes. I support Rand but have no problem criticizing him when he is wrong. Endorsing the candidate of his party is the smart thing to do.

You contradicted yourself in this post. Your placing hope in Rand Paul over the message of liberty. I agree that we need to look past Rand Paul, but in the context of his actions being a good move or a bad move, it was clearly a very very stupid move. A large group of people feel anger towards him.

Look around, read the comments. It most definitely did kill momentum. We were doing fine before, this never needed to happen. It was a bad move.

That's funny. Because Rand said a thousand times that he would endorse the party's nominee. Where have all of you been?

I have never placed hope in Rand. I know what is what. I understand to make change you have to sometimes show Unity with people you don't like. I am willing to throw Rand under the bus when he has betrayed trust on REAL ISSUES. Also, you'll notice.... I pimp other candidates more than Ron or Rand. I think this movement should worry more about state races as that is where you have to take over first. We focus WAY too much on big offices and not the small ones.

That's because those people fail to think with their head. Instead they are using their emotions. At the end of the day this endorsement changes NOTHING.

Those people should take your anger and go do something productive with it instead complaining on the forum or filling Rand's Facebook page with disgusting comments.

One, I dont know what you mean when you say "you". Two, I've never followed Rand Paul at all. Three, stating it before does not absolve him of playing the political game and upsetting people. I'm looking at this like a chess game, Rand Paul played the wrong move.

"I have never placed hope in Rand" followed by "I am willing to throw Rand under the bus when he has betrayed trust on REAL ISSUES" which implies you have placed your hope in Rand.

By "you" I mean all the people who are acting surprise and/or going crazy over this. If you didn't know this was coming then you haven't been following the campaign that closely IMO as its been pretty well known for months. Rand Paul played the right move actually and I'm glad that he did it.

I placed my representation in Rand by voting for him. I hired him for the job to represent me. I don't place my hope in my employees. I hire them to do their job and make sure they are paid for doing it. Semantics are fun but truth is.... I could give a shit at who the person is in the seat just as long as they vote my way. They can do whatever they want to get elected or to work deals.

I couldn't agree more. We have very wise, astute people in this movement. Both Jack Hunter and Rand Paul know how the game is played.

The only thing they understand, is how to get a paycheck from the political movement. You want to see a campaign that was worse than Herman Cain, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, or any other Republican this time, look straight at the Ron Paul campaign. A 100% absolute failure. Waste of time. Waste of money.

I think you or others have said this more than once and I've countered it more than once, a quiet "I support the nominee" may have been acceptable, atleast to people like myself, some of more extreme purists maybe not, but they way he did it was all wrong, the timing, the show he did it on, making it a "big announcement" which was intentionally advertised beforehand, and the amount of praise he heaped on Romney plus promising to do more in the future, WAY over the line.

How can you ignore reality and believe it was the right move? This movement is on the brink of division; its such a terrible move. The only way to solve this problem is by ignoring Rand Paul and moving on with different methods of unification. That is, instead of placing our faith and hope in Rand Paul, placing it in a new method.
