Jack Hunter Resigns

Poor bastard thought he was juiced in with the establishment. He learned a hard lesson. Hopefully he keeps writing and blogging.

I'm not going to celebrate this at all. Only a few issues with him you can't fault his work and sadly will miss that more than anything

Hunter is now free to point out the hypocrisy of the assorted Marxists, Leninists and Trotskyites on a daily basis. Maddow should get called out on a weekly basis. Kristol should get his share too.

Alex does this daily Brian check out infowars.com/listen some time when your home. All freeeeee... I can't listen everyday but still not bad

It most likely is for the best. The media is already playing the race card pretty hard and accusing Jack of being a racist. I have seen too many articles about it lately.

I hope he still gets to write with Rand's books but this means he wont be controlling the FB or twitter accounts and please no one can fsault him for this work. He's been spectacular. He was also likely behind the 6 op-eds a week. How is Rand going to replace that easily?

Double down and hire Tom Woods. It'd galvanize pretty much every Ron supporter who wasn't already on board, it'd be a massive thumb in the eye of the media, and Woods is the major league version of Jack and was scheduled to write Rand's first book, anyway.

If anyone questions Tom's ability to reach a conservative audience, compare Doug Wead's and Tom's performances on Steve Deace's program. Tom's a rhetorical wizard and knows his material inside and out.

Woods is a verybusy guy. I hope he brings Wead into the fold because there's a few opening nows in that office at senior levels. He needs people he can trust.Woods is more of someone who will answer the calling to help clean the mess up once he's safely elected president (if ever,we all have views as to whether this can be allowed to happen)

Gunny should maybe get involved with Rand's office. Someone leave a note for him.

From the article:

Hunter maintains he is now freer to join these debates.

“I look forward to returning to just being a pundit and fighting these battles on my own,” he said. “The neoconservatives, who first ran and promoted this story, would much rather argue about the Civil War than the Iraq War.”

“From their standpoint, and given current trends within the Republican Party,” Hunter concluded, “I can’t say I blame them.”

Heh.Defending Southern secession might still be poison for a politician,so too is defending endless wars in the mid-east and that's a little more topical these days. Now give them both barrels,Jack.

Folks will still hammer Paul about it and claim him as a liability. I can imagine some will say that Paul is the root of the problem.

By all means, let's placate ignorance and bow to the evil establishment. We've got an election to win!

God I love democracy!

He didn't quit, he was fired. Nobody ever is "fired" in Washington, they always "quit."

And Tom Woods has said everything controversial that Hunter has and more. I love the guy but you have no understanding of how politics works if you think he'd be a good person to have on Rand's official payroll.

I'm aware it'd be extremely unpopular in the mainstream.

Well, maybe that's a hint that it's a bad idea in the realm of being elected President?

Opposing government on any fundamental level is bad, too. Should Rand openly support every program and function currently in place, and instead call for modest reforms, as if he were John McCain, Bob Dole, or Mitt Romney?

It's an admission that media is more powerful than truth (at least until 2016).The Lincoln brain washing and state-is-goodism will take a generation to erase.
