I've been pondering an idea for Iowa...

IF I understand correctly, Iowa is an outside gig, right?
IE, the rally, etc is held outside?

I guess the reason I ask is this. I noticed in a youtube video with RP in Austin, TX, he was escorted into town via a group of cycles (probably 10).

I was just curious if maybe we could make a 'roaring' impression by escorting him in with say 200 bikes? I ride with a bunch of guys....many who don't give 2 poos about politics, but many are ex military, and might be real interested in Dr. Paul. I think if I could arrange something with the Iowa, Wis, SD, ND and MN ABATE groups, I could probably arrange 200 + riders willing to head down.

If I can make this work....there's one thing I'd really like.. I HUGE flag I can mount on my bike with RP's name/logo on it. Any suggestions there? (it would be great if we could get one for each bike...but I'm trying to be realistic)

Sounds like a great idea nd there is an Iowa thread in here with many people already planning things and it would be great if you get ahold of themand coordinate.

The Ames Straw Poll takes place inside Hilton Coliseum at Iowa State but it only holds about 15,000 people and there will be close to 40,000 people at the rally...so yes, most of the spectacle is outside in the parking lots and tents.

I think the motorcycle community is really into freedom and I think motivating them to the Ron Paul cause is a great idea.
