.. NOT the man. Ron Paul may have spurred this wake-up call but he will not be president. Make the march about the message, that way half the people won't abandon the cause and go back to sleep after November.

Could you imagine how this march could show the politicians we have a voice and determination to tap into, if they would just vote for freedom, liberty, and peace. Use their greed to our advantage, the same way special interests do.

The race for the white house is over in November. A message lives forever.

I still have hope that RP will be president, but I agree that the message transcends the man and that the march should primarily be about the message.

BTW, your post title sounded familiar to me...there's a short article on Strike The Root by Mike Wasdin with the same title: http://www.strike-the-root.com/81/wasdin/wasdin1.html I'm not as pessimistic as he seems to be, but it's an interesting article.

This is the general idea. Sign up at www.revolutionmarch.com and don't worry, the site is getting a face-lift.

If the march is focused too much solely on Ron Paul, people who we would benefit from having as speakers or performers would think that involvment would be akin to an endorsement. We must base it on the broader message of liberty, constitutional law, freedom, civil liberties, anti-war etc.

this is not to say that they have any personal problem with ron paul. they might not support all of his beliefs, yet can be a positive force of change in areas of the revolution.

Yes, this needs to be a We The People! rally or a Take Our Country Back! rally, or a The Constitution Lives! rally or a Take Freedom to DC! or Spirit of '76! rally. Any powerful catchphrase that captures the imagination, instills concern and prompts action.

Ron Paul should be the keynote speaker, but we need a media darling, heavy-hitter to headline this thing. Foo Fighters! Clint Eastwood! Angelina Jolie?(not sure who brought that up)

It would be great if several hundred thousand additional people showed up that didn't even know this was about Ron Paul. Then, bam they get there and they're like "damn, so THIS is Ron Paul!" Let's do this thing!

Who's stupid?

I thought Mike Wasdin's article was disgustingly manipulative. I don't know why he doesn't rush out and vote for an enterprising fascist, considering the delight he'd apparently take in the summary execution of this nation's stupid, worthless population. I'll say it again. I don't know anyone who'd even consider voting for McCain, and I know a lot of people who know other people - Republicans - who've also been suspicious of McCain. I think someone had better phase out Wasdin's crowd and notice that if they want to get serious about Ron Paul. Who's doing the voting?? Not us.

I'll never forget the world weary teacher who asked, "You mean there's someone who believes in the United States Constitution?" I had to explain that to her because the media blackout worked. People are extremely busy making ends meet for the Federal Reserve, which supposedly stimulates the economy productively by bribing and lashing exhausted slaves. The dumb slaves don't have time to investigate anything but their budgets. They need empowerment, not insults, and the march can offer that!!
