It's ok guys

Rand Paul mistake was running as a Republican. He doesn't bomb enough, say enough racist statements, or sleep corporations enough. He has too much integrity.

Agreed. He would have stood a better chance agaisnt Hillary as a Democrat. Republicans love wars and the smell of blood, destruction and big government.

Because of the large percentage of white, Evangelical, war-mongering Israel firsters. That is why the GOP kicks off the race in Iowa.

I've been trying to figure out what the difference is between the typical American Evangelical vs. the Temple Priests who had Jesus crucified, and all I can come up with is that the Pharisees and Sadducees had cooler looking clothing.

It IS Okay

Sen. Rand Paul worked very hard in Iowa, and given the media bias that he had to run up against (as well as the general ignorance of the electorate), I say that he did a good job. He won above most of the establishment Republicans (like Bush, Christie, and Kasich) by placing 5th, and his message resonated with the next generation of young, Republican voters.

We just need to prepare ourselves for New Hampshire. Keep our focus on why Sen. Paul is fighting to restore constitutional government, because no other candidate is standing for the Constitution. Sen. Paul is our best hope for the White House in this race, and he will still have my support, until he decides to suspend his campaign.

I must say, should I ever move to the US, Iowa is not a place I'd look at. Kentucky certainly would be. :p
Kentucky has some nice scenery and rural places to escape to. :) Tennesee is decent too. Indiana and Ohio, not so much, but I know a lot of people there(friends/family), so the area has a special place in my heart.

Heh yea i live in Tennessee, I'm more impressed with Kentucky it's beautiful. I had a job delivering windshields at night from Knoxville, TN to London, KY a year ago to small wholesalers and I loved the scenery! Though one time I got stuck in ice at a customer's house, he was nice enough to come tow me out with his truck! Kentucky is a very DIY and friendly place as far as I can tell. The mountains are awesome too and there's a ton of rural, hilly, woodsy areas to live in.

My grandmama (RIP) was from London! :D Cool thing about KY is that one doesn't have to go too far from any major city to get into farm country that makes for excellent SHTF places to live and survive on. Some very good soil there, from what I've seen. :)

TN ain't bad, but it's more urbanized (at least, it was when I was there) than KY.

Small world huh. Yea London would be an awesome place to live, you could drive through the downtown area in like five minutes but it had a nice homely feel to it. Yea I live in the outskirts of Knoxville and it's like any urban area in the country which isn't a bad thing. Certainly a much different atmosphere

I agree, it will be ok.

Hey guys,

This is my first post here, I was an active reader of the forums for the Daily Paul/Popular Liberty before it was shut down. But i completely understand the disappointment.

I first discovered Ron Paul in 2011 while in college and it was by complete coincidence. After Googling, "Why is everything so expensive?" somehow it lead me to Ron and I was hooked ever since. After Ron lost Iowa i was depressed, and thought this country was screwed. But it wasn't screwed. And just Like Rand losing in Iowa, it saddens me but I know this won't be the end of our country or the Liberty movement for that matter.

To be honest i was less enthusiastic this time around because i didn't want to get my hopes too high like I mistakenly did in 2012. This election will most likely not see Rand winning the nomination. The sooner you accept it the better. But just because you accept it shouldn't mean you should give up either. Like Ron said in the past, this is about spreading the message of Liberty. And though it seems like we lost a good portion of that support, I don't necessarily believe we have. I believe our past support is still active but in other ways. Again the 2012 election was a pretty big bummer, and I'm sure there were numbers of past supporters who turned their backs to the election process and have resorted to Alternative Media or pursing other means to help spread the message.

So don't give up, teach and expose to your family and friends about Ron Paul and Rand for that matter. Because we won't have the luxury of the Giant Microphone of the Media helping us spread the message. It will have to be in our backyards, and building up stronger support for local and state offices.

There's nothing really you can personally do to help fight the media bias this election, unless you happen to have an awful lot of money (and that's even a stretch if you're not their friends) I suggest, like before, to keep talking about it this election and get more people on board. Slow as a process as that may seem, it's the only way unless someone has the money to actually compete with the major news outlets and getting more viewers.

Sorry for the long post btw.

Up the republic!! Yes, it was a bad night for us last night. We underperformed. But, there are still 55 contests left. We have 3 important states coming up soon: NH, SC and NV. All 3 states are important but the state where we can gain good mo is NV. NH, being a week later, is going to be a tough cookie and SC seems hostile to the liberty message although we need to try anyway. However, let's see how things play out! Hopefully, we'll get some good news somewhere! :D

Running as a Democrat would be equally futile because of Rand's economic viewpoints, and 3rd party candidates never win the presidency, EVER. The problem isn't the party, the problem is the country.

you know, why doesnt he pull a bernie on this?

Bernie Sanders - I, caucuses with the democrats.

Why cant Rand be an I and do the same on the republican side?
