It's official. We now have the most badass supporters.

What product do you make? Can I steal it that way we can be in line with Ron Paul's stance on capitalism?

And suing daycare's for hanging mickey posters in the classroom is different. I'm sure the school bought the poster and then hung it on the wall. They were not making fake Disney posters and using Mickies image out by the road in order to increase attendance in order to make a profit and they weren't selling fake posters to turn a profit either. So I don't understand your comparison. Downloading other peoples profits is stealing. Or is it only stealing when the Federal Reserve or the Government does it?

Also please don't confuse my statements with my opinion on the RIAA and the MPAA. They desperately need a new business model unless they plan on detaching themselves from their demographic. But it is stealing Metallica's money none the less.

Sueing an adult for copyright infringement & earning profits off of downloaded music is one thing. Sueing KIDS for downloading a song is just F*CKING WRONG!

He isn't a Ron Paul supporter that I know of, but he is a libertarian.

"Besides its musical ambition and instrumental proficiency, there is one other thing that sets Rush apart from most bands -- the strong libertarian/Objectivist themes in its lyrics, which are written by Peart. The band's 1976 album, 2112, was even dedicated to "the genus of Ayn Rand." The album, inspired by Rand's novel Anthem, is about a future society where the rediscovery of the guitar threatens a totalitarian society. It's no surprise that Rush is the only band ever cited in the Journal of Ayn Rand Studies."

Now you know why Rand Paul is always quoting Rush lyrics.

Neil rocks!!

I agree with the OP, not because of the names listed.

If it came to a fight, I would take 1,000 of us with our personal weapons, know-how, and fundamental "I ain't takin' none of your crap, son!" attitude over 10,000of any other candidates supporters.

We attract teh most bad-ass celebs because WE are the most bad-ass! :D

I used to like Metallica (some of their music). However i turned to disliking them when they started sueing kids for downloading their music. Turns out their really greedy sob's after all :( kind of like disney/rat sueing childs daycare centers for putting a picture of Mickey on their wall.

I'm pretty sure they "apologized" for that, or at least think differently now.

Mark Stepnoski is definitely one of the most badass Ron Paul supporters.

stepnoski.jpg

For those of you not aware, Mark Stepnoski played center in the NFL from 1989 to 2000, mostly for the Dallas Cowboys, racking up 2 Superbowl rings and 5 Pro-Bowl appearances in the process. He was nominated to the football hall of fame in 2006 (his first year of eligibility), and although was not elected that year, he is considered one of the top centers to have played in the NFL. Since retiring from the football, he has gone on to become an outspoken critic of marijuana laws as the new president of the Texas chapter of NORML and has also questioned the government's role in the events on 9/11. He donated the maximum ($2300) to Ron Paul's 2008 presidential campaign.

I don't know if they're specifically Ron Paul supporters, but I did learn from cruising the Advocates for Self-Government website (theadvocates.org) that actor Kurt Russell, folk singer Melanie Safka, and Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong also self-identify as libertarians.

Oh, and of course there's Drew Carey also. You have to have a finely-tuned "B.S. detector" to be a really great comic, which is why I suppose there is such a high concentration of libertarians succeeding in that field.

"Ron Paul is my guy," said Vendt, who describes himself as a libertarian ideologically. "It's really frustrating the way the mainstream media just ignored him and acted like he was a fringe candidate without doing any research at all. I think he's really what the country needs. ... I'm definitely not a fan of the huge tentacle-like arms of the federal government invading everything in our lives."
Erik also contributed $200 to Ron Paul for the Tea Party money bomb and spoke at the Rally for the Republic.
