Items to stock up on for bartering ?

actually any non hybrid seeds will do. Depending on where you are, look for disease resistant non hybrid seeds. Books especially survival types. Also Medical: Herbs. alternate medicine. Canning equipment. Water purification, filters. traps. Stabil/gas. Optics: Binoculars. Distillation equipment. chlorine, Iodophor.

Complicated. Depends on where you are. Some stuff you can store, but long term would require producing to trade.

In the Apocalypse scenario it's one thing. It you plan to trade stuff now, remember the government requires you to list and report the items and value so they get their piece. Yeah, really...... Some guy in Alaska got busted for trading meat and firewood.

You learn something every day. He bartered and got busted. To funny

Vaseline is pretty good, cheap and lasting , effective way to treat dry, chapped, windburned, minor burns , abrasions etc etc

I don't care for rubbing petroleum (Vaseline) on my lips, nor should you. And you don't want to put Vaseline on a burn ! It traps the heat in and again, you are putting oil in an open wound. Vaseline is only good for use in prisons.

I have never used it on fresh wounds , but works very well to avoid chafing on scar tissue etc , I have used it on faces and lips, that where split from exposure etc , I have drank from my own bleeding wounds before ..... not too worried about a little petroleum jelly, we have all lived differently , I suppose.

I'll have to be sure to tell my 86 y.o. mom that she effed up: she coulda lived an extra few decades if it weren't for that nasty unrefined petroleum jelly that they saved whenever the gas well was swabbed and then used frequently when she was a kid.
