It would have been Ron Paul-Kucinich [Citation needed]

The reason a Paul-Kucinich executive would have made sense is that Ron Paul was unequivocal that there needed to be a TRANSITION PHASE to smaller government. In the meantime this means that a socialist who at least believed in transparency, oversight, and the rule of law could have been a responsible steward for this large yet presumably decreasing socialist component. Plus, each could be an honest spokesperson and messenger to their own factions and advocate for mutual compromises in spending from both military and entitlements. It would have created more willingness among Congress to implement reductions.

Can you point me to where he said that in 2008? Because I only saw him saying who he respected in Congress and could work with, but not a definitive statement like that on Kucinich. In 2012 he also didn't get definitive, saying he's want to speak to others, but that the Judge was really good....

I sort of remember it too. I think it came from a talk show ...local PBS ... New Hampshire maybe...host was female with short hair....

I watched it over and over, and then I close captioned it for KramerDSP, so I watched it a few mre times....can't believe that I can't remember it now. But he never, AFAIK, made a definite statement about who he would pick. He would throw out small lists of names.

ETA: I guess it imported over when they closed Google Video. I found it on my account. LOL!

Can people from different parties run on the same ticket?

Yes, the 12th Amendment to the Constitution made it possible to elect both the Presidential Nominee and their running mate. Party wa snot an issue. The party structure is convention, not law.

thanks for the video

Ron did poll very well against Obama, though. Much better than the other nonestablishment candidates, even the pseudo ones.

Indeed. If I recall correctly, Ron polled the best of any Republican candidate in a head-to-head match up with Obama.
